Premier League Special Bets Predictions
Manchester City to be the top North West club @ 11/8
Pep Guardiola’s departure after a decade in charge undoubtedly weakens Manchester City’s title chances but they should still finish ahead of their local rivals, even if wrestling the top prize away from Arsenal is too big of an ask.
Enzo Maresca seems a good choice to replace Guardiola and he should follow the blueprint his predecessor has put in place, and they still have an exceptional squad.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton complete this batch of four with the last of these highly unlikely to finish ahead of City.
Liverpool also have a new boss and have lost a key man or two of their own so they have also entered a transitional period. United impressed under Michael Carrick last term but their squad doesn’t look as strong, so City appear worthy favourites in this market.
Hull City to finish bottom @ Evens
All the promoted teams will probably struggle and of the new trio in the league Hull look the weakest outfit. The Tigers scraped into the top six in the Championship last season and came up via the play-offs. They haven’t made any serious improvements to a team that finished 22 points behind champions Coventry last season and are the obvious contenders to be propping up the table at the end of the campaign.
Christos Tzolis most assists each way @ 9/1
Arsenal summer signing Christos Tzolis has arrived from Club Brugge and should be integrated into the starting XI fairly quickly. The Gunners obviously rate him highly as they allowed Leandro Trossard to depart, and backing Tzolis to finish in the top four in terms of assists offers plenty of appeal.
Bruno Fernandes led the assists chart last season with 21 but there was a big drop to Rayan Cherki in second place as the Man City man had 12. Cherki’s team-mate Erling Haaland completed the top four with eight – and that looks a very achievable target for Tzolis if he is able to establish himself quickly in the Gunners side.
Tzolis had 23 assists in 36 games in Belgium’s top tier last season, equalling the record haul for that competition, having managed nine in the previous campaign. He’s also already got his first Arsenal assist on the board in pre-season and the Greek international may be able to make a big impact at the Emirates Stadium in the season ahead.
