Premier League 2026/27 top goalscorer predictions with 25/1 & 40/1 selections

Sports Journalist at FST, Gareth qualified as a journalist after graduating from university and spent over a decade as a freelance broadcast journalist, commentator and tipster before joining FST. Now living in Manchester, he is a long suffering Bolton Wanderers fan who also enjoys boxing, the NBA, tennis and rugby league.
Erling Haaland has topped the goalscoring charts in the Premier League in three of the last four seasons and the Manchester City star is rated as the odds-on favourite for Golden Boot honours ahead of the new campaign.
Barring injury, it would take a brave punter to bet against the imposing Norwegian and the only man who has managed to finish ahead of him in the last four years is no longer in the league, with Mohamed Salah departing Liverpool over the summer.
However, there is still plenty of value to be found with each-way betting available covering the top four places. Liverpool’s Alexander Isak is second favourite at 9/1 and that is a price worth backing under each-way terms, and with that in mind I’ve picked out a pair of outsiders who could be among the Premier League’s top four goalscorers.

Premier League Top Scorer Predictions
Ollie Watkins each-way @ 25/1
Ollie Watkins had a below-par season by his own standards for Aston Villa last season but still weighed in with 16 goals, making him the league’s fourth highest scorer.
Watkins ended the season in form with eight goals in his final eight games, he also contributed heavily in the Europa League with four goals in the final five games as Villa landed that trophy. That form saw him secure a place in England’s World Cup squad but he was ultimately used sparingly by Thomas Tuchel.
Watkins may come into the season feeling he has a bit of a point to prove and he has to shoulder a bit more responsibility in terms of scoring now Morgan Rogers, Villa’s second highest scorer last term, has departed for Chelsea.
The England international is the focal point in the Villa attack and at 16/1 he looks the standout each-way candidate to be the top Premier League goalscorer.
Kai Havertz each-way @ 40/1
As a big price outside option, Arsenal forward Kai Havertz looks an interesting prospect at 40/1.
Last season was close to a write off for Havertz due to injury but he still managed a respectable haul of eight goals across all competitions, before going on to record three goals in four games for Germany at the World Cup.
There were signs last season that Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres could form a strong partnership in their limited game-time together last term. Gyokeres is the focal point, but Havertz could benefit from the Swede’s hold-up play and that could result in a strong scoring season from the German.
