Premier League Prop Bets
Manchester United v Manchester City
Rayan Cherki to score at any time
Michael Carrick faces a baptism of fire in his first game in charge of Manchester United as his side host their rivals Manchester City in tomorrow’s Premier League lunchtime kick-off.
Carrick’s Middlesbrough team were often impressive going forward but struggled to keep things tight at the back and he is taking over a Red Devils side who have only one clean sheet in their last 15 matches.
Manchester City are in the midst of a defensive injury crisis but they have an embarrassment of attacking riches.
Rayan Cherki scored from the bench against Newcastle on Tuesday but he had started nine of City’s ten games before that and could be playing from the off in the derby.
The tricky midfielder is a real asset in tight areas and only Phil Foden and Erling Haaland have scored more goals for City in all competitions than his six at an average of 0.44 per 90 minutes.
It is a surprise to see the 22-year-old as big as 5-1 to get on the scoresheet against a leaky United side.
Leeds v Fulham
Brenden Aaronson to score or assist
One major factor in Leeds’ recent upturn in form, along with their move to a 3-5-2, has been the form of Brenden Aaronson.
The American was electric against Newcastle and has now scored three times in his last two league games.
Expect Aaronson to have a big impact against a Fulham team who are still without some of their key defenders.
He has four goals and three assists in 14 league starts and looks a solid bet to add to that tally.
Sunderland v Crystal Palace
Dan Ballard to have a shot on target
Crystal Palace suffered the biggest shock in FA Cup history last weekend, losing to National League North side Macclesfield, and things don’t get any easier for the battered and bruised Eagles as they visit Sunderland on their return to Premier League action.
Oliver Glasner’s side have been extremely vulnerable from set-pieces all season, they have allowed the most shots of any team in the top flight (95) from such situations.
That could be a major issue lining up against the hosts’ Dan Ballard, who is one of the most dangerous options in the league from set-pieces.
The Black Cats’ centre-half is averaging 0.51 shots on target per 90 minutes and looks a tempting price for another.
