Football Betting Tips
Month In Sport Accumulator Tip
Montse Tome’s side look to have a much easier group that contains Italy, Portugal and Belgium, especially as they put 19 goals past the latter two in four Nations League meetings this season. Spain have demonstrated they know how to bottle a winning formula and they look strong candidates to add to their trophy collection.
Tadej Pogacar has been nigh on unbeatable since winning a third yellow jersey, claiming the world championship title and three Monuments, and he looks capable of landing this year’s Tour de France.
Lando Norris is yet to win around Silverstone, but the 25-year-old has outperformed team-mate Oscar Piastri in each of their two British Grands Prix at McLaren, finishing third here last year and second the year before, both times over 12 seconds ahead of the Australian.
Ryan Fox looks an excellent each-way bet at generous odds. Fox has claimed PGA Tour titles at the Myrtle Beach Classic and the Canadian Open since the start of May. He is a proven links specialist, winning the Dunhill Links in 2022 – where three of the four rounds are played on Open venues – and he was 16th at Portrush in 2019.
Oleksandr Usyk already has one KO win over Daniel Dubois on his CV and he can remove any controversy over that result with another stoppage in the rematch. The Ukrainian is too slick to get caught by Dubois and has the power and accuracy to win without needing the scorecards.
Overnight Best Bet Tip
Boca Juniors have won seven of their last eight home league games, while they meet a Union Santa Fe side who have suffered six away defeats this year.
Scottish League Cup Mega Accumulator Tip
Ayr won their opening League Cup game 6-1 at Annan, while they host Championship newcomers Arbroath on Saturday. The hosts averaged 2.17 goals per home game in the second-tier last term, including netting 18 goals across six clashes with the bottom three. Back them to rack up the goals against the visitors.
Dunfermline lost three of their four League Cup games last year, while they suffered 14 defeats from 18 league trips. Dumbarton opened with a 1-0 home win and they can hold firm against the visitors, who were thumped 4-1 by Hearts last time out.
Edinburgh City failed to win any of the four meetings between these two sides last term, suffering three defeats. The hosts have lost their first two games of the season, conceding four times in each encounter.
BTTS has landed in both of East Kilbride’s first two games of the campaign, following a 4-2 win at Raith Rovers last time out. Elgin have conceded seven times across their first two matches, with the pair at the foot of Group F. The visitors have just been promoted to the fourth tier, while Elgin scored in 83% of their home League Two matches last term.
Annan’s last nine matches have each finished with both teams scoring, while the visitors have been relegated to the fourth-tier. St Mirren were 2-1 winners at Forfar in their last League Cup game and they can triumph again, but the visitors can get on the scoresheet.
Hearts won their final four Premiership games last term and they’ve carried that into the new season. The visitors have scored four times in their first two wins of the campaign, so back them to score a few goals away to a mid-table League Two side.
Both Teams to Score Accumulator Tip
KFUM have scored in all but one of their home matches this term, while Brann have kept only one clean sheet on their travels. The hosts have conceded in all but three of their Eliteserien matches so far, so back both teams to score.
Molde and Stromsgodset have both been struggling defensively, with neither side showing much stability at the back. Molde have failed to keep a clean sheet in all six home games, while Stromsgodset are conceding at a rate of over two goals per match. BTTS has strong appeal given the vulnerabilities on both sides.
Both teams have scored in Ross County’s last seven matches, while they head to a Queen of the South side who scored four times in their last home match. The visitors’ quality should tell in this encounter, but they can’t be trusted defensively.
Both teams have scored in five of these teams’ six combined Euro 2025 matches, and both France and Germany have scored in 14 consecutive matches.
Goals Galore Accumulator Tip
Brann are one of the league’s most entertaining sides, with 11 of their 15 Eliteserien matches featuring at least three goals. They’ve scored three or more on five occasions and come into this off a 3-1 win over Viking. Goals look likely again in their trip to Oslo.
Brechin have conceded 12 times across their first two League Cup games, while they suffered a pair of 3-0 defeats in their warm-up clashes. Spartans are expected to prove too strong, but the hosts have conceded in four straight games.
Motherwell’s first two group games have featured over 2.5 goals, while Stenhousemuir lost their opening match 3-0. Over 2.5 goals also landed in each of the hosts’ four group games last term, while they lost 5-2 on aggregate in the League One playoffs at the end of last season.
Hearts won their final four Premiership games last term and they’ve carried that into the new season. The visitors have scored four times in their first two wins of the campaign, so back them to impress away to a mid-table League Two side.
Goal Drought Double Tip
Djurgardens have seen under 2.5 goals in 11 of their 15 Allsvenskan games, and Elfsborg are also trending towards low-scoring encounters. Both sides have had issues in front of goal, and with Elfsborg conceding just 0.86 goals per game on the road, this should be a tight, cagey affair.
Osters have seen fewer than three goals in six of their last eight matches, and no team in the Allsvenskan has played more under 2.5-goal games this season. Malmo have also been involved in low-scoring affairs lately, with four of their last six league matches going under the 2.5 mark. A cagey contest looks likely.
Bet of the Day Tip
Motherwell’s first two group games have featured over 2.5 goals, while Stenhousemuir lost their opening match 3-0. Over 2.5 goals also landed in each of the hosts’ four group games last term, while they lost 5-2 on aggregate in the League One playoffs at the end of last season.
Experts Accumulator Tip
Aidan: Edinburgh have lost heavily in their first two matches, conceding four goals on each occasion. Stranraer can capitalise and claim an away win.
Henry: Fortunes are turning for Inverness and they’ve been busy in the transfer market this summer. The hosts secured a 2-0 victory over Elgin last weekend and they can follow that up by beating the Saints.
Aaron: Motherwell’s first two group games have featured over 2.5 goals, while Stenhousemuir lost their opening match 3-0. Over 2.5 goals also landed in each of the hosts’ four group games last term, while they lost 5-2 on aggregate in the League One playoffs at the end of last season.
Alex: Degerfors have lost six games on the spin, conceding close to three goals per game. The visitors are unbeaten in eight and they can ease to victory.
James: The French won all three group games, while they’ve won all 11 matches in 2025. Germany lost 4-1 to Sweden in their final group game, so back the French to secure another victory.
James: Chicago have picked up six of their eight victories this season away from home, while they’ve been impressive against the weaker sides in MLS. With Montreal struggling, the visitors are great value to secure the points.
Both Teams to Score & Win Treble Tip
Inverness scored in 14 of their 18 home matches last term, while they meet a Premiership side who won their League Cup group a year ago. The visitors conceded in three of their four group games last year, while they won 3-1 in their first game of the campaign.
Peterhead topped League Two last term, while the hosts have held their own in defeats to Championship and Premiership opposition so far. Visitors Clyde scored over a goal per game in their League Two trips last term, but they head to a side that won 13 of 18 home matches last season.
Annan’s last nine matches have each finished with both teams scoring, while the visitors have been relegated to the fourth-tier. St Mirren were 2-1 winners at Forfar in their last League Cup game and they can triumph again, but the visitors can get on the scoresheet.
Correct Score Double Tip
Inverness conceded seven times across four games in the League Cup last year, so back them to keep things close against a St Johnstone side that managed only two clean sheets in their away trips last season.
Stenhousemuir conceded at least three times in each of their defeats in this competition last term, while they lost 3-0 in their opening match this term. The visitors have struggled for clean sheets, conceding in both League Cup games so far, so a 3-1 away win stands out.
Accumulator Tip
GAIS are in solid form on the road, winning three of their last four Allsvenskan away matches. With Degerfors winless in six and scoring just 0.71 goals per game at home, the visitors are well placed to capitalise.
Viking are unbeaten in eight home games this season and have won 11 of their 16 league matches overall. They’ve scored 40 goals and won their last three at home. Facing a Bodo/Glimt side with just eight wins, Viking are the best bet to claim victory on Saturday.
Fortaleza have lost their previous five league games, while they’ve suffered four defeats in seven home matches this season. Bahia have won three on the spin to sit fourth overall, so back them to continue their fine form in this clash with the league’s second-bottom side.
Both teams have scored in five of these teams’ six combined Euro 2025 matches, and both France and Germany have scored in 14 consecutive matches.
France Women vs Germany Women Bet Builder Tip
Both teams to score
Both teams have scored in five of these teams’ six combined Euro 2025 matches, and both France and Germany have scored in 14 consecutive matches.
Marie-Antoinette Katoto to score anytime
Marie-Antoinette Katoto has scored in both her starts in Euro 2025 and has three goals in her last four appearances for France, taking her tally to 40 goals in 58 international games.
Elisa Senss to be carded
Senss leads both sides with 2.7 fouls per game at this tournament, while the midfielder was carded on three occasions in the Bundesliga last season. She’s escaped a card at the Euros, but given her rate of fouling ahead of Germany’s toughest test, she stands out in the card betting.
Bet to Net Best Bet Tip
Marie-Antoinette Katoto has scored in both her starts in Euro 2025 and has three goals in her last four appearances for France, taking her tally to 40 goals in 58 international games.
Premier League Opening Weekend Mega Accumulator Tip
Liverpool won by at least two goals in nine of their 14 home victories last season, while they comfortably saw off Bournemouth home and away. The Cherries lost 3-0 at Anfield and 2-0 at home to the Reds, despite enjoying a successful campaign.Bournemouth have already sold Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid, while Liverpool are pursuing their left-back Milos Kerkez. The Reds will have plenty of time to bed in their new signings, while Andoni Iraola’s side will likely start this campaign weakened at the back. Back the champions to lay down a marker in their opener.
Despite little expectation, there was plenty of promise in Fabian Hurzeler’s first season at the Amex and it would be no surprise to see a young Brighton side take another forward step next term. The Seagulls saw out the campaign by drawing with Newcastle and beating West Ham, Wolves, Liverpool and Tottenham in their final five matches and they have already added Sunderland’s playoff hero Tommy Watson and Italy Under-21 centre-back Diego Coppola to a strong squad.Fulham, meanwhile, lost five of their last seven matches of the season, only beating Southampton and Brentford, and are yet to bring in any new faces, suggesting an opening-day defeat may be on the cards for the Cottagers.
Brentford have a busy summer ahead as they plan for a future after Thomas Frank but they should be ready for the opening weekend of the season and can start with a win against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. The Bees might be without Bryan Mbeumo, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, but they are usually a step ahead when it comes to player recruitment and are likely to assemble a strong squad over the next few weeks.Forest will be in for a tough game and they might struggle to shrug off the disappointment of missing out on Champions League qualification. The Tricky Trees have taken one point from their last four home games and they could be stung by the Bees.
Only champions Liverpool are a shorter price than Tottenham to win their opening Premier League fixture and I think I would look to oppose Spurs.Of course, a home tie against Burnley appears a fairly kind fixture, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Clarets, who conceded only 16 goals in 46 Championship matches last term, were difficult to break down. The decision to replace Ange Postecoglou with Thomas Frank wasn’t met with unanimous euphoria in north London and it could take a while for Spurs to find their stride.
Pep Guardiola must adapt his usual pre-season plans due to Manchester City’s involvement in the Club World Cup and the Citizens could drop points in a tricky opening assignment at Wolves.City made hard work of May’s 1-0 home victory over Wolves, who hit the woodwork twice at the Etihad Stadium, and they needed a 95th-minute John Stones winner at Molineux in October.Wolves sold forward Matheus Cunha to Manchester United and left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri to City but their recruitment has been good in recent years and they won ten of their 22 league matches after Vitor Pereira’s arrival in December.
Leeds were the highest-scoring side in last season’s Championship, but they may find the going tougher in the top flight, and they could kick off their season with a low-scoring affair at Elland Road.Ten of Everton’s final 12 games of 2024/25 featured fewer than three goals, and their away games throughout last season averaged a Premier League low of 1.95 goals per game. A mere 26 per cent of them went over 2.5 goals, and no team outside the top four conceded fewer goals than the Toffees.
Both Teams to Score Long Haul Accumulator Tip
Peterhead were beaten 4-2 by Scottish Championship side Morton in their opener and lost their final two away games in League Two last season. Motherwell won three and drew two of their final five home matches.
Norway topped their group in impressive fashion, scoring eight times as they won all three matches. However, their defensive issues were notable, as they shipped five goals and failed to keep a clean sheet. Italy scored in all three games, but they were unable to shut out Portugal and Spain in their previous two matches.
These two sides drew 2-2 in the first leg, while St Joseph’s scored home and away against Shelbourne in Europe last season.
Spain scored 14 times in the group stage, but they’ve conceded in 10 of their last 11 games. With home advantage, the Swiss can get on the scoresheet.
KFUM have scored in all but one of their home matches this term, while Brann have kept only one clean sheet on their travels. The hosts have conceded in all but three of their Eliteserien matches so far, so back both teams to score.
Bottom side Haugesund are cut adrift at the bottom, but they’ve scored in four of their seven trips. Valerenga have seen BTTS in their last four home matches, so back goals.
