MLS Accumulator Tip
This is a dead-rubber for Austin, who are out of the playoff picture, while Portland need to win to guarantee postseason action. The Timbers are on a three-game winning streak and can make it four in a row in Texas.
This is a huge game as only a win will do for Real Salt Lake if they are to reach the playoffs, while defeat could see LA Galaxy drop out of the top nine. Galaxy know a win would see them finish seventh so this is effectively a must-win game for both so backing both teams to score is a strong play. Real Salt Lake have scored in their last seven and conceded in five of those, while LA are on an eight-game scoring streak and have just one clean sheet in that run.
Houston can move ahead of St Louis and potentially up to third with a win, abd Dynamo can make home advantage count against a City side who are winless in five in MLS and have lost their last four.
Seattle probably have to win to move into the top nine and they are hosting an LAFC outfit who have a place in the top seven secured. The Sounders are out of form but they have won three of their last five at home and LAFC are winless in seven away, so the hosts can grind out the win they need to stand a chance of postseason action.

When do you post your MLS tips?
Our MLS match previews cover every single game and are posted two to three days before each game kicks off. For midweek matches, predictions will be available from Monday evening. By posting our tips early, we make sure we get the best value from bookmakers while also giving you plenty of time to digest our predictions.

When is the MLS season?
The American football season runs from February to October, with the MLS Cup Playoffs taking place from October to November. You can find live MLS tables here, while it’s also worth taking a look at this season’s top scorers.
Which teams are in the MLS?
So, who plays in the American divisions? The following MLS teams will compete in the 2022 season:
Eastern Conference – Atlanta United, Charlotte FC, Chicago Fire, FC Cincinnati, Columbus Crew, D.C. United, Inter Miami, CF Montreal, New England Revolution, New York City FC, New York Red Bulls, Orlando City, Philadelphia Union, Toronto FC.
Western Conference – Austin FC, Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy, LAFC, Minnesota United, Nashville SC, Portland Timbers, Real Salt Lake, San Jose Earthquakes, Seattle Sounders, Sporting Kansas City, Vancouver Whitecaps.

What’s the playing style like in America?
Given the size of the US, weather conditions and therefore playing styles vary greatly from team to team. Although a large generalisation, most managers try to copy the fast, physical style of the Premier League. Remember the way the American national team ran themselves into the ground at the 2014 World Cup? Tactics and technical quality can be lacking, but it all makes for an entertaining game of football.
Who has won the MLS Cup most often?
The MLS Cup is played between the winners of the Eastern Conference and Western Conference. LA Galaxy and New York Cosmos have won the league championship most often with five wins each. They are followed by DC United on four titles.
