The battle to be crowned the best team on the continent enters its final throes this weekend, when the four 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Semi Finalists face off for a place in the competition’s climactic fixture in Cario on July 19th.

On Sunday, in the first of the AFCON Semi Final double headers, Senegal take on Tunisia at the 30 June Stadium in the Egyptian capital, before Algeria and Nigeria lock horns across the city at the Cairo International Stadium later the same day.

As always, there are tons of exciting and interesting betting markets that are worth exploring for each fixture. With that in mind, check out our range of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Semi Final Betting Specials Below.

Double Anytime Goalscorer Special – Sadio Mane & Odion Igalho – 8/1

With 3 goals in his last 3 AFCON appearances, Sadio Mane seems to be peaking at the right time for our pre-tournament winners tip Senegal, and we expect him to make a match-defining contribution again for Les Lions de la Téranga this weekend.

The Liverpool attacker, who we backed to finish as the competition’s top scorer, is currently locked at the top of the charts alongside DR Congo’s Cedric Bakambu, Algeria’s Adam Ounas and the other player from our double anytime goalscorer special, Odion Igalho.

Like Mane, Nigeria front man Odion Igalho has a wonderful habit of producing the goods at vital times for his team. The former Watford forward scored twice in Nigeria’s dramatic 3-2 Last 16 win against Cameroon, and after a relatively quiet showing against South Africa in the Quarter Finals, we expect Igalho to make a much bigger impact against Algeria on Sunday.

Both Teams to Score Double – Senegal vs Tunisia & Nigeria vs Algeria – 3/1

With 4 clean sheets in the 5 games they have navigated so far in Egypt, Senegal’s defence has been one of the most robust at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

However, on Sunday, their usually mean rearguard comes up against a Tunisia side that has failed to score just once in their last 8 international fixtures.

After they posted relatively modest goalscoring figures in their Group and Last 16 clash with Ghana, the Tunisian attack found their groove against Madagascar in the Quarter Finals, hitting the net 3 times against the tournament surprise packages on Thursday. We think momentum gained in that cutting display should allow them to grab a goal against Senegal.

Senegal’s star-studded frontline should have little trouble poking holes in the Tunisian defence too – they have scored at least once in 15 of their last 17 international games.

In the other Semi Final, history is firmly on our side – both teams scored in 3 of the last 4 meetings between Nigeria and Algeria, while more recent individual statistics posted by the respective countries are also encouraging.

Despite Nigeria’s progress to the Semi Final stage of the 2019 AFCON, the Super Eagles were unable to keep their opponents off the scoresheet in their last 3 matches, while Algeria have secured a blank in just 9 of their last 28 games.

Game to be Decided After Penalties – Senegal vs Tunisia & Nigeria vs Algeria – 26/1

The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations has already been one of the most keenly contested championships in recent memory, and naturally the tournament’s games are getting tighter and tighter as we draw closer to the Final on July 19th.

Senegal squeezed through their Last 16 and Quarter Final ties with 1-0 wins over Uganda and Benin respectively, while their Semi Final adversaries Tunisia needed extra time to see off Ghana in their Last 16 bout.

Nigeria secured their passage to the last 4 with 1-goal margin victories over Cameroon and South Africa, while Algeria were taken all the way to a penalty shootout by Ivory Coast in their Quarter Final on Thursday.

Both Semi Finals pit extremely well-matched teams against each other in Cairo, and we think there is great value in backing both games to go to all the way to penalties this week.
