2022 may be drawing to a close but FST’s top tipsters aren’t slowing down in preparation for the New Year, with our crack team of specialists landing four tasty winners on Thursday night.

The headline event was a massive 33/1 Underdog Treble, while our stateside correspondents followed up that huge win with more winners overnight.

Let’s take a look at how it happened.

33/1 Underdog Treble hits the jackpot

The EFL took centre stage on Thursday night with 28 fixtures spread across the three divisions, but it only took three of those fixtures to land us a huge winner.

Our tips:

• Tranmere to win (at Barrow)
• Salford City to win (at Grimsby)
• Sunderland to win (at Wigan)

Results: 

• Barrow 1 – 2 Tranmere
• Grimsby 1 – 4 Salford City
• Wigan 1 – 4 Sunderland

With all three games kicking off at 19:45, it didn’t take long to realise that our luck might be in as Salford’s Matt Smith scored inside the first minute. He went on to net a first-half hat-trick as Salford cruised to victory, but things weren’t quite so straightforward elsewhere.

The scoreline may have been identical at the DW Stadium but, after taking the lead, Sunderland took a while to reclaim their advantage after a 42nd minute equaliser. It eventually came through a Ross Stewart penalty 25 minutes from time, with Patrick Roberts and Amad Diallo rounding off the win in the closing stages.

The nerviest moments came at the SO Legal Stadium, though. Once again, our selection went ahead early doors as Jordan Turnbull opened the scoring six minutes in, but Barrow equalised later in the half and, after a tight second-half, the dream looked to be over as substitute Paul Lewis was given his marching orders 15 minutes from time. But up popped Kane Hemings six minutes later to send the travelling fans – and the FST team – into raptures!

US Best Bets continue to flourish

Our NBA Best Bets have been on a roll lately and the Indiana Pacers were in no mood to stop our winning streak. They came from behind at home to the Cleveland Cavaliers, winning the last three quarters to land our 7/4 money line bet and our fourth NBA Best Bet on the bounce!

We were made to wait until almost 4am for our NHL equivalent to get underway, backing over 6.5 goals in Philadelphia Flyers @ San Jose Sharks.

It was a slow burner and we looked on track to lose the bet after the second period but three goals in the third period took the game to overtime and all it needed was an Anthony DeAngelo winner for the Sharks to bag us another winner and our fourth NHL Best Bet winner in the last six tips!

That overtime goal also brought a 4/1 US Sports Best Bet Double home to roost, too. With the success of all our Best Bets, including the NFL, that was our fourth US Sport Best Bet multiple winner in the last eight days, making for a healthy 23 units of profit in this period!
