Matchday two of Euro 2024 begins on Wednesday and we have now seen all 24 teams in action, with some surprises being thrown our way and a few somewhat uninspiring performances from the ante-post favourites.

Germany were one of the standout sides as they demolished Scotland in the opener, and both sides are in action again on Wednesday after Croatia and Albania lock horns.

As always, we have put together a Bet Builder for each match below.

Germany vs Hungary

Over 2.5 goals

Germany were rampant in their curtain-raiser against Scotland and could have another field day in front of goal on Wednesday as they face a Hungary side that need to go on the attack following their 3-1 defeat to Switzerland.

Kai Havertz to score anytime

Kai Havertz scored from the penalty spot against Scotland and hit the back of the net in Germany’s warm-up friendly against Greece, while the Arsenal attacker scored four times in the Gunners’ final five league games last season.

Attila Fiola to be shown a card

The rugged defender was booked four times in 12 appearances for his club, Fehervar, this season and he could overstep the mark against Germany.

Scotland vs Switzerland

Switzerland to win

Scotland were demolished in their opener against Germany and showed little promise against the Euro 2024 hosts. Switzerland return Cologne, where they beat Hungary 3-1 at the weekend to make it three wins from their last four.

Dan Ndoye to score anytime

Ndoye put in an impressive display against Hungary, taking a game-high three shots on goal. Given how Germany’s skillful attackers ripped through this Scottish backline, Ndoye can float out to the left and expose issues in their back five.

He found the net against Napoli for Bologna at the end of the campaign to cap a strong season but he’s showing more attacking intent for his country, so back him to score against a vulnerable Scottish defence.

Billy Gilmour to be shown a card

There has been a clamour for some Scottish changes after the dismal defeat to Germany and one of the beneficiaries should be midfielder Billy Gilmour, who was surprisingly omitted for the opening game.

Gilmour should get on the ball and help Scotland to get their passing game going. However, he can be rash with his challenges and was top of Brighton’s Premier League card count last season with eight yellows and one red.
