42/1 FA Cup goalscorers accumulator tip for midweek

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

The FA Cup resumes in midweek as this hectic 2022/23 season continues. Just days after the first silverware of the season was handed out, 16 teams are all plotting a route to Wembley as the fifth round takes place across Tuesday and Wednesday night.

You’ll be able to find coverage of all eight ties through our free FA Cup predictions, but after casting an eye across each fifth round tie I’ve put together a 42/1 goalscorer fourfold, which you can back below.

FA Cup Goalscorers Acca

Kaoru Mitoma to score vs Stoke

Mitoma has drawn a blank in his last two games, but the Japanese midfielder has scored five goals across his last nine appearances for Brighton. That included a strike against Liverpool in the last round of the cup.

Playing against Championship opposition is a great opportunity for Brighton and for Mitoma, who has the chance to return to form after his club had the weekend off. Expect the Seagulls to respect this competition given their lofty league position and Mitoma looks like their biggest goal threat right now.

Kelechi Iheanacho to score vs Blackburn

Iheanacho fired Leicester into the fifth round with the winner at Walsall and he can be the hero again as his team face Blackburn in the last 16. The forward has scored in six of Leicester’s last seven FA Cup ties, including each of their last three.

Iheanacho followed up that strike against Walsall by scoring in his following two Premier League appearances, while Saturday saw him have a goal chalked off against league leaders Arsenal. With Championship opposition to come, back Iheanacho to continue his scoring touch in the cup.

Anass Zaroury to score vs Fleetwood

Burnley are looking to balance their promotion chase with a cup run, having landed a great fifth round tie against Fleetwood. With bigger tests to come, manager Vincent Kompany is set to rotate against the League One side. That should allow Zaroury another chance to impress.

The young forward has scored four goals in domestic cups this term, putting both Crawley and Bournemouth to the sword with a brace against each. He was unable to dent Ipswich in the last round, but this looks like a chance for Zaroury to add to his 10-goals haul after a summer move from Charleroi.

Marcus Rashford to score vs West Ham

Rashford may not have scored at Wembley on Sunday, but he’s still had a stellar start to 2023. The forward has scored 16 goals since returning from the World Cup, playing a major role in United’s great form over the last couple of months.

A big part of that has been down to Erik ten Hag playing a settled side, using the likes of Rashford in EFL Cup and Europa League games to maintain their great run. Expect to see their in-form forward face West Ham on Wednesday night and after his scoring streak, he’s worth backing to notch once more.
