London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal meet for a showdown at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening where a victory for Thomas Tuchel’s Blues would guarantee them a place in the top-four of the Premier League.
The Gunners cross the capital with their own incentives to perform and with Mikel Arteta under increasing amounts of pressure, Arsenal still need points to avoid finishing in the division’s bottom half.
Ahead of kick-off, punters will be looking to build their very own bets for Wednesday’s showpiece fixture and below, we’ve compiled some betting tips with that in mind.

Chelsea vs Arsenal bet builder tip
Match result market
A win over London rivals Arsenal on Wednesday evening would allow Chelsea to open up a gap of nine points between themselves and West Ham in fifth, and while the Irons would still have a game in hand, the Blues’ vastly superior goal difference means that a Champions League berth would be sewn up.
A highly-motivated Chelsea team – who have lost just twice in 25 games since Thomas Tuchel’s appointment – are worth backing to win as a result.
The Blues are playing with a real swagger thanks to recent victories over Real Madrid, West Ham and Manchester City (twice), and they can outgun a misfiring Gunners outfit at Stamford Bridge.
Goal markets
Arsenal’s attacking play under Mikel Arteta has drawn plenty of criticism this season and the Gunners have all too often looked clunky and unimaginative under their Spanish manager.
With a spark to their football in the final third lacking, Arsenal could struggle to penetrate a Chelsea defence that has been rock solid since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival, and it could be worth backing under 2.5 goals to be scored as a result.
12 of Chelsea’s 16 Premier League matches with Tuchel in charge have produced two or fewer goals and the Blues’ skirmish with Arsenal on Wednesday could well follow suit.
Shot markets
With Chelsea expected to dominate the lion’s share of possession against an inferior Arsenal side on Wednesday, it makes sense to look through the Blues’ ranks for shot market inspiration.
Attacking midfielders Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic – who are enjoying fine finishes to the campaign – both jump out at prices worth considering in the attempts on target stakes.
England man Mount is averaging 2.2 shots and 0.7 shots on target per Premier League appearance this season, and while Pulisic’s equivalent figures of 1.5 and 0.5 aren’t quite as impressive, his more recent output certainly is.
The USA international has mustered 3.0 shots in three of this last five starts and hit the target with five of his nine efforts. With both Pulisic and Mount ending the campaign at their effective best, back the schemers to rack up 1+ shot on target each against Arsenal.
Card markets
Thomas Partey has had a stop-start first season in England following his big-money switch from Atletico Madrid. However, the Ghanaian’s combative and cultured performances in midfield have made him a real hit with Gunners fans when he has featured.
With usual enforcer Granit Xhaka out injured, Partey will have to lean on his combative skillset on Wednesday evening however, and the 27-year-old isn’t shy about sticking his boot in.
Partey has been carded just six times in 21 Premier and Europa League starts in 2020/21 and with extra defensive duties thrust upon him, he stands out as a worthy candidate to get booked again at Stamford Bridge.
