Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

The Premier League returns on Saturday, with Chelsea’s clash against Arsenal the standout among the weekend’s games. Ahead of this London derby, I’ve picked out four standout bets for the encounter in our latest Ultimate Bet Builder!

Each of these selections were picked out with Betfair, combining for a huge 70/1 bet builder tip. New Betfair customers can claim up to £20 in free bets by clicking the link below!

Chelsea vs Arsenal Ultimate Bet Builder

Martin Odegaard to score

While Arsenal haven’t seen Gabriel Jesus take over as their main scoring threat, they are a side packed with goals across the park. On the road, their main option tends to be Odegaard. He has scored 11 times across their last 21 league trips, including a brace at Bournemouth this season.

When these two sides met in May, Odegaard scored twice against the Blues. While the hosts have a solid backline, there are gaps to exploit for midfielders coming from deep as they bed in an entirely new midfield. Given that, look to Odegaard as a great anytime scorer option at the Bridge.

Cole Palmer to score or assist

Palmer has already found the net against Arsenal this term, scoring for Manchester City in the Community Shield back in August. The winger has made a world of difference to Chelsea’s attack in recent weeks, with his movement transforming a stagnant attack into something much more unpredictable.

Palmer has been rewarded for his good displays, starting each of the last three games. In that run, he’s made two assists and scored a goal himself. Having scored two goals for City earlier this term too, the England Under 21 international is a real attacking threat. Back him to punish Arsenal once again in Saturday’s clash.

Bukayo Saka 1+ shots on target

Saka missed Arsenal’s win over Manchester City through injury, which also forced him to withdraw from the England squad. That allowed the winger a pretty healthy break ahead of this crucial clash, which is bad news for the Blues.

Saka meets centre-half-turned-left-back Levi Colwill on the right flank this weekend and the Arsenal man has all the tools to punish Pochettino’s makeshift defensive switch. Saka has averaged 1.3 shots on target per Premier League game, so back him to work Robert Sanchez at least once.

Conor Gallagher to be carded

Gallagher managed to get himself booked in England’s friendly clash with Australia over the break, while he’s already picked up a yellow card for the Blues this term.

The midfielder is known to be combative, having averaged two fouls per game this term – more than any player across the two sides that has made at least two league appearances this term.

Gallagher picked up nine bookings in the Premier League last season and he seems to have a more physical presence in this setup, especially in games which are more even with the opponents getting more of the ball. As a result, back Gallagher’s foul-happy form to lead to another booking.
