Arsenal gained plenty of momentum across the last couple of Premier League rounds, taking advantage of Liverpool’s downturn in form to leap into top spot.
The Gunners head to Fulham on Saturday evening, aiming to build on their good run. Our Fulham vs Arsenal match predictions back a routine win for the leaders, but I’ve looked into some other markets to produce a 59/1 Ultimate Bet Builder.
Fulham lead the league in fouls per game, while Arsenal foul at the fourth-highest rate away from home. That’s factored heavily into the five selections here, along with the Cottagers’ injury issues and the visitors’ corner count.
Fulham vs Arsenal Ultimate Bet Builder Tip
Josh King 1+ shots on target
Fulham’s attacking threat could be limited here, as both Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz are injury doubts. However, neither have proven to be the Cottagers’ biggest attacking threat this term, as midfielder Josh King leads the way in terms of shots on target.
King has recorded at least one shot on target on five occasions this season, while he’s had three efforts at goal in his last three appearances. While Arsenal are solid defensively, they tend to concede a couple of shots on target per game. King appears to be the biggest threat going forward for the hosts, so back him to have at least one shot on target.
Calvin Bassey to be carded
Bassey was booked on seven occasions for Fulham last season, while the defender has two cautions in his first seven league games in this campaign. Playing as the left-sided central defender, the forward will likely need to deal with runs from Bukayo Saka, alongside spells marking Victor Gyokeres.
Saka and Gyokeres have each been fouled nine times in the league this term – a joint-high for the Gunners. The majority of Bassey’s bookings last term came at home, so he’s the standout player in the card market, given Fulham’s high number of fouls so far.
Jurrien Timber to commit 2+ fouls
Fulham are also effective at drawing fouls, with their midfielders seeing plenty of foul involvements at this early stage of the campaign. Timber’s ability to drift into the middle of the park, alongside his usual role marking the opposition left-winger, should see him rack up some fouls in this contest.
Timber has made at least one foul in six of his last seven Premier League outings, while he has committed five fouls across 200 minutes of action for the Gunners on the road.
Ryan Sessegnon to be fouled 1+ times
Backing the opposing left-back to be fouled is an interesting market against Arsenal, given that Saka has made at least one foul in each of his last five games for his club. He has made nine fouls in that spell.
Ryan Sessegnon looks set to keep his role at left-back, despite the looming return of Antonee Robinson. Sessegnon has played further forward in his career, so this bet is even more appealing given that he’ll likely push forward against Timber over the course of the game.
Over 5.5 Arsenal corners
Fulham have conceded over six corners per game at home this season, while Arsenal are winning corners at an incredibly high rate. The Gunners have averaged 7.57 corners per game in the league, jumping up to an average of eight across their away trips this term.
