After landing 12/1 and 13/2 winners during the first few weeks of the Football League campaign, we take a foray into the ‘Anytime Scorer’ market ahead of Saturday’s action. This week we’ve highlight three players who look good bets to find the net.

You can find detailed analysis, predictions, and betting tips for all this weekend’s action in our Match Previews section.

Bristol Rovers vs Accrington Stanley – Tyler Smith to Score Anytime

By scoring ten goals in 23 appearances for Barrow in the National League last season, young striker Tyler Smith caught the eye of Bristol Rovers manager Graham Coughlan, who is already starting to be rewarded for signing the 20-year-old on a season-long loan from Sheffield United.

Smith has notched three goals (one in the league, two in the cup) for Rovers and is starting to perform like someone who should enjoy a fruitful campaign. The Blades’ man may have notched just once in the league, but only two players have accumulated more individual expected goals, which tells us that the youngster is getting himself into plenty of promising positions.

When Bristol Rovers take on a relatively weak Accrington side on Saturday, Smith, who is also averaging 3.34 shots and 4.54 touches in the opposition penalty box, looks a good bet to notch his second League One goal of the season.

Macclesfield vs Crawley – Joe Ironside to Score Anytime

Macclesfield aren’t exactly known as a flamboyant, high-scoring team, but in new signing Joe Ironside, they have a reliable forward threat. Since joining from non-league football in the summer, the 25-year-old has created a positive impression, scoring two in four starts, finding the net in each of his last two in the league.

With 2.74 expected goals for to his name, Ironside is among the most threatening forwards in the league. As the Silkmen come up against a leaky Crawley rear-guard that has conceded six goals and average of 1.81 expected goals on the road this term, punters looking for a goal-getter are urged to get behind Ironside.

Leyton Orient vs Swindon – Louis Dennis to Score Anytime

The goals certainly haven’t flowed for attacking midfielder/number 10 Louis Dennis, who is yet to find the back of the net since joining Leyton Orient on loan from Portsmouth, though the early-season performances of the 26-year-old suggest that a first League Two goal is not far away.

Dennis has been a prominent attacking figure for the O’s, averaging 3.78 shots per 90, which is the third highest in League Two, while he’s also averaging an impressive 5.35 touches in the opposition penalty box. After some encouraging efforts of late, the man who notched 13 times for Bromley during the 17/18 campaign is backed to get on the scoresheet when Orient welcome Swindon to Brisbane Road on Saturday.
