It’s the final round of EFL fixtures before the playoffs this weekend and once again FST’s experts have teamed up with a host of Racing Post tipsters to dig out the best value offerings this Saturday.

Alex Wrigley – yes I am writing about myself in third-person – continued his hot streak last Sunday as Monaco’s double against Lyon made it six winning tips on the bounce, while Liam Flin’s five-tip winning streak came to a sad end in the very same fixture. Still, with five wins from his last six attempts and a profit of 6.1 units over his 18 bets he’s well worth keeping an eye on.

Middlesbrough vs Wycombe – Both teams to score at 8/11

Wycombe need a 14-goal victory on the final day to have any chance of staying up, but the Chairboys are still set to finish the season on a high. They’ve scored in each of their last seven matches in a late-season surge and you’d expect Gareth Ainsworth’s committed side to give it their all as they bow out of the second tier.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough are finishing up midtable but their run-in has been entertaining. Six of their last seven matches have seen both teams score and its worth backing more goals when they host the league’s worst defence.

Fiorentina vs Lazio – Over 2.5 goals at 4/6

Lazio are still in the running for a top four finish in Serie A thanks to a recent spate of good results. They won a seven-goal thriller against Genoa last time out and have seen some 25 goals across their last four fixtures. We can expect more of the same when it comes to goals on Saturday.

Why? Because they’re facing a Fiorentina side that played their part in a 3-3 draw at Bologna last weekend. The visitors haven’t seen a clean sheet for either side in any of their last ten matches and eight of these have gone over the 2.5 goal line.

With Fiorentina still hovering on the outskirts of the relegation battle and Simone Inzaghi’s side trying to make up ground on the Champions League qualification spots, expect both teams to push forward.

Bournemouth vs Stoke – Bournemouth to win at 3/4

Bournemouth will be keen to swerve Brentford, who readily outclassed them just a fortnight ago, in the Championship playoff semi-finals and can make sure of doing so with victory over Stoke.

Jonathan Woodgate’s men have suffered back-to-back defeats, but they had won six on the spin prior to that and they should punish the Potters, who have collected only two points from their last six league fixtures.

Bournemouth vs Stoke – Bournemouth to win at 3/4

Bournemouth have the Championship playoffs to look forward to but they can take care of an important last piece of business in the regular season by defeating Stoke at the Vitality Stadium.

Nothing is ever certain in the playoffs but Bournemouth will have a better chance of success if they can avoid third-placed Brentford in the semi-finals.

The Cherries need to finish fourth or fifth to steer clear of the Bees and they can guarantee a top five placing by defeating the mid-table Potters, who are winless in six and weakened by the absence of injured top scorer Nick Powell.

Wolfsburg vs Union Berlin – Wolfsburg to win at 3/4

The Volkswagen Arena has been somewhat of a fortress for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga this season and they can get the better of visitors Union Berlin this weekend. April’s defeats to Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund were the only home losses Wolfsburg have suffered this season and they have won nine of their 15 home games in the Bundesliga this campaign.

They are still on course for a Champions League berth so will be determined to keep picking up points but Union, despite enjoying a good season, now look set to miss out on European football so could lack the motivation in this contest.
