The major European season draws to a thrilling climax in Istanbul on Saturday night as Manchester City and Inter Milan contest the Champions League Final, but football fans need not despair too much once the final whistle blows.

While Europe’s top leagues all break for a well-deserved rest, there is plenty of sport still to be played during the summer months and here at FST we’ll be covering as much of it as we can!

We’ve already got off to a flyer, too, with a massive 84/1 Irish Mega Acca winner in June!

Let’s take a peak at what you can look forward to this summer:

Football

Scandinavia takes centre stage in Europe

The introduction of the summer international break keeps the action flowing for a couple of weeks, with the UEFA Nations League scheduled to play the semi-finals and final alongside Euro 2024 qualifiers.

After that, our attention turns towards Scandinavia and Ireland, before the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League qualifiers get underway in mid-July.

Here’s some of the leagues you can expect to see football tips from:

  • Irish Premier Division
  • Sweden Allsvenskan
  • Sweden Superettan
  • Norway Eliteserien
  • Norway 1. Division
  • Finland Veikkausliiga
  • Champions League qualifiers
  • Europa League qualifiers
  • Europa Conference League qualifiers
  • European Under-21 Championship

Americas in full flow over summer

While much of Europe beds down for the warmer months, the Americas are only just hitting mid-season during summer so you can expect a host of our special overnight tips throughout the next couple of months.

Here are just a few of the leagues we’ll be monitoring:

  • MLS
  • Copa Libertadores
  • Copa Sudamerica
  • Brazil Serie A
  • Argentina Liga Profesional
  • Mexico Liga MX
  • Colombia Primera A
  • Ecuador Primera Division
  • Chile Primera Division

Wimbledon, The Open, the British Grand Prix and much more!

The above may provide us with a much-needed football fix, but the real top-level sporting action during the summer can be found elsewhere.

Tennis fans have been treated to plenty of French Open tips from us recently and they won’t have to wait too long for more, with Wimbledon beginning on July 3rd.

Golf expert Joe Champion will continue to provide his weekly tips, kicking off with the next Major on the schedule. The US Open starts on June 15th, followed by The Open on July 20th.

The next Formula One event on the calendar is the Canadian Grand Prix on the 18th June, and after that you are never left waiting long for the next race. There are four Grands Prix in July alone – all of which will be covered by yours truly- before the Formula One teams break for their summer holidays, with the main event undoubtedly being a trip to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix on July 9th.

Boxing aficionados can look forward to Errol Spence Jr taking on Terence Crawford on July 30th which, as always, will be covered in detail by our resident expert Gareth Freeman.

On a day-to-day basis, our stateside tipsters will continue providing daily MLB tips and accas all through the summer.
