Five bets across four different sports came flying in on Sunday on FST but it was Steve Palmer’s epic 60/1 longshot selection in the Genesis Invitational that took the plaudits!

60/1 Niemann defies the odds in California

Backed at 60/1 eachway prior to the start of the Genesis Invitational, 23-year-old Joaquin Niemann added a second PGA Tour title to his record.

A barnstorming start last week saw the Chilean hit a 63 in the opening two rounds to put him well clear of the field and after a respectable 68 in round three he took a three-shot lead into the final day on Sunday.

A bogey in the seventh saw his lead cut to a single stroke but, not to be deterred, the youngster bounced back and an eagle on the 11th put him five shots clear of the field.

We were in for a nail-biting finish, though, with consecutive bogeys cutting his lead to two shots only for Niemann to finish strong with two birdies and a par leaving him two clear of Colin Morikawa and Cameron Young and just a shot shy of the tournament record.

Overall it saw us take a hefty 75 units of profit from the golf tips this week!

Premier League double lands at 6/1

Our football tips certainly played their part in a successful Sunday at FST, too, but it could have been even better as we narrowly missed out on a massive 95/1 Bet Builder in Manchester United vs Leeds.

We were left with no such heart break in the Premier League double, though, as the following two selections landed with ease:

• Manchester United win and both teams to score (at Leeds)
• Wolves to win (vs Leicester)

After Manchester United raced to a 2-0 lead at the break, two goals inside a minute at Elland Road saw Leeds pull back. Fred restored the lead in a fiery-tempered encounter before Anthony Elanga wrapped up the points late on.

The second leg of our double got off to a flying start with Ruben Neves opening the scoring inside ten minutes. Ademola Lookman levelled the scored before the break but, 66 minutes into the game, Daniel Podence ensured the Foxes’ poor run of form would continue and landed us a 6/1 shot!

Back to Elland Road and we saw four of the five legs included in our 95/1 Bet Builder land, with Manchester United winning, both teams scoring, Bruno Fernandes scoring and Scott McTominay picking up a well-deserved yellow card. Unfortunately Diego Llorente’s half-time substitution ended our dreams in that particular bet, with us needing him to get a booking to land it.

FST enjoys Best Bet clean sweep in football, NHL and NBA

We also enjoyed plenty of success across a number of sports when it came to our Best Bets, with a clean sweep of winners across football, NHL and NBA.

• NHL – Columbus Blue Jackets money line (vs Buffalo Sabres)
• NBA – Team Durant +5.5 (vs Team LeBron)

And the results:

• Valencia 1 – 4 Barcelona

• Team LeBron 163 – 160 Team Durant
