There are no Premier League fixtures on Saturday due to the FA Cup final so instead we’re treated to a bumper Sunday with seven games to look forward to.
I’ve opted against including the early kick off here but have picked out my best cards or corners bet for the other six games and together they combine to make up a 55/1 accumulator.
You can use my selections for your own cards & corners accumulator, add them to a bet builder if you want to focus on one specific game, or back them all in our bet below.
55/1 Cards & Corners Accumulator Tip
Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace
Best Cards & Corners bet: Both teams to receive 2+ cards at 2/1
Aston Villa entertain Crystal Palace in a mid-table tussle at Villa Park Villa and we should see a few cards in this clash. Neither side has anything particularly to play for, but that hasn’t stopped the cards flowing and both teams to receive two or more cards at 2/1 looks generous.
Villa are averaging 2.26 cards per-game and their opponents receive 2.29, while they have seen at least two players booked in six of their last seven games. Palace have seen two or more players pick up bookings in each of their last three games.
Leeds vs Brighton
Best Cards & Corners bet: Over 3.5 cards at 8/13
Leeds have picked up 102 cards in their 36 games this season, more than any other Premier League team, and with the Elland Road club scrapping for survival expect at least four to be dished out in total when they host Brighton.
Leeds’ games are averaging 4.72 cards-per-game and Brighton’s average 4.11, so back over 3.5 when these two face off on Sunday.
Watford vs Leicester
Best Cards & Corners bet: Leicester corners match bet (most corners) at 20/21
Watford have lost the corners match bet in each of their last four games and that pattern should continue when they welcome Leicester to Vicarage Road on Sunday. The Hornets win on average just 4.22 corners-per-game, conceding 6.36, while the Foxes are very much a mid-table outfit in that regard as they win on average 5.11 per-game.
West Ham vs Manchester City
Best Cards & Corners bet: Over 10 corners at 5/6
Manchester City continue their quest for the Premier League title at West Ham knowing a win would put them six points clear of rivals Liverpool, who are in FA Cup final action on Saturday and have just two games remaining.
The standard corner line is set at 11 for this game and with over 10 on offer at 5 /6 I’ve opted to play this one a little safer and take the lower total. There were 12 corners when these sides met at the Etihad Stadium earlier in the season (eight for City, four for the Hammers) and City’s games average 11.05, while West Ham’s average 10.2, so we may well see 11 in total in this clash.
Wolves vs Norwich
Best Cards & Corners bet: Wolves first card received at 1/1
Relegated Norwich have one of the best disciplinary records in the league as they receive on average just 1.47 cards-per-game, and they have only picked up two yellow cards in total in their last five games.
Wolves average 1.75 cards-per-game and as there is a real chance the Canaries won’t see a player booked at all – as has been the case in three of their last five fixtures – backing the hosts to pick up the first card makes sense.
Everton vs Brentford
Best Cards & Corners bet: Everton corners match bet (most corners) at 8/13
Everton have hit some form with seven points from the last nine available to move out of the bottom three and they will be looking to continue that run with three points on Sunday when mid-table Brentford visit. Statistically there isn’t much to separate these two as Everton average 4.29 corners-per-game and the Bees average 4.28, although they do concede 6.25 to the Goodison club’s 5.75. However, Everton will be the team looking to press forward as they are the side in greater need and as such I’m expecting them to win the most corners.
