Premier League stat attack predictions

Burnley vs Manchester City

Table topping City have a superb recent record against Burnley and the Citizens are favourites to run roughshod over the Clarets again this week.

  • Man City have scored in both halves in six of their last seven meetings with Burnley.
  • The Citizens have beaten Burnley seven times in a row, scoring 28 times in the process.
  • Man City have notched three or more goals against Burnley in six of their last seven encounters with the Clarets.

Betting Tip: Manchester City to score in both halves @5/6

Fulham vs Leicester City

Fulham produced one of their best performances since their promotion in the reverse fixture between the Cottagers and Leicester back in November, and Scott Parker’s dogged side could be awkward opponents for the Foxes again on Wednesday.

  • Leicester have scored 16 of their 21 away goals in the second half of their games this season.
  • Leicester have scored more goals in the last 15 minutes than any other Premier League team in 2020/21.
  • Five of the last eight goals scored in games involving Fulham were notched after the interval.

Betting Tip: Half with the most goals: second @23/20

Leeds United vs Everton

Leeds upset the odds to topple the Toffees at Goodison Park back in November, though the evidence suggests Everton could well exact some revenge in Wednesday’s rematch at Elland Road.

  • Everton have scored first in 67% of their Premier League away matches this season.
  • Leeds have scored first in just 33% of their home league assignments this term.
  • Everton were the first team to find the net in four of their last five Premier League away fixtures.

Betting Tip: Everton first team to score @11/10

Aston Villa vs West Ham

Aston Villa were left baffled when they exited the London Stadium with nothing in November having dominated for large swathes of their 2-1 reverse to West Ham, though the Villains could be worth backing to exact some revenge this week.

  • Just two players were booked when Aston Villa and West Ham last met in November.
  • Only two clubs have collected fewer cards than West Ham in the league this season.
  • Only four clubs have gathered fewer cards at home in the Premier League than Aston Villa so far this term.

Betting Tip: Under 3.5 cards @4/5

Liverpool vs Brighton

Another raft of injuries threatens to halt Liverpool’s latest spike in results, and a Brighton team buoyant after their victory against Spurs look ready to make Wednesday’s skirmish at Anfield a difficult test for their hosts.

  • A goal has been scored in the final 15 minutes in five of the last seven meetings between Liverpool and Brighton.
  • Pascal Gross scored an injury time spot kick when the teams last met in November.
  • Liverpool (10) and Brighton (6) have notched 16 goals between them in the final 15 minutes of their Premier League fixtures in 2020/21 so far.

Betting Tip: Late goal: After 76:59 @5/6
