Saturday in Serie A kicks off with a battle between two top four contenders, while it wraps up with a huge derby clash. The first three games of the weekend include the three preseason title favourites, just as the league campaign starts to heat up. We have already seen genuine rivals to Juventus stake their case, while there’s one major outsider moving into the frame.

With the top of the Serie A table now finely balanced, we are looking at the Saturday clashes which could change things and the current state of play in the outright betting. We also have a 7/1 Team Goals accumulator for the weekend’s big games. Ahead of another major weekend of Serie A action, here is our run-through of the Super Saturday clashes from across Italy.

Giants Clash in the Capital

The weekend kicks off with a huge game, as Napoli head to a Roma side who just reclaimed a place in the top four. They knocked Napoli out of the Champions League spots with a 4-0 thumping win at Udinese when Napoli were slipping up at home to Atalanta. Roma are looking at their best ahead of this clash, which luckily for them comes on the verge of a huge Champions League clash for Napoli in midweek.

With the Partenopei facing a tough week, Roma are going all-in on this game. The Giallorossi look good so far but this will be a major test for them. Having just come through a meeting with AC Milan with three points, Roma should be recording another big victory here. We are backing Roma to triumph in the capital in our Roma vs Napoli predictions, as the Giallorossi chase fourth. They still have work to do in the Champions League chase, which promises to be a tight race this year. A victory here would be massive for Roma, and we’re backing them to take advantage of Napoli’s defensive woes of late.

Another Inter Test

Inter Milan have been in brilliant form as they look to overhaul Juventus in the fight for the Italian title. Antonio Conte’s men won once again in midweek, which leaves them in form ahead of this weekend’s trip to Bologna. The Nerazzurri are starting to click in the league, which has been their priority over the Champions League so far this term.

Conte has his men flying on the road, as they’ve scored twice in every one of their games away from home in Serie A. With Bologna conceding twice to all the sides they’ve played who are above them in the table, we expect this to be another Inter success on the road. We are backing over 1.5 Inter team goals as our Bologna vs Inter Milan prediction, while that same bet goes into our weekend accumulator.

Champions Face Derby Challenge

Both of the top two are on the road this weekend, but Juventus are making the short trip across their city to meet Torino. The Turin derby pits together two sides in very different places right now. Torino are in dire form with far too many poor results denting their hopes of European football. Meanwhile, Juve are going from strength to strength with Maurizio Sarri consistently demanding more in attack from them.

However, Juve have still been scoring goals. Once again we’re backing over 1.5 goals for the away side in our Torino vs Juventus predictions. Juve will be setting out at full strength here having scored twice in eight of their last nine matches, so they should punish a Torino side who are looking poor. As Juve look to keep their one-point lead at the top of Serie A, we’re backing them to score twice here.

Could Atalanta Defy the Odds?

While Saturday has the main contenders according to the bookies, the early Sunday clash pits third-placed Atalanta against Cagliari. While la Dea aren’t quite Leicester City, they have a golden chance ahead. Their Champions League campaign has been written off, but they can set their sights high after last season’s third-placed finish. With Atalanta boasting a settled, balanced side they may well kick off an incredible title push this term.

While la Dea remain outsiders for the title, they are in the mix for a third top-four finish in four seasons. They have been in brilliant form in their chase of another crack at the Champions League. They have scored twice in every game so far this season, which means they are the final leg in our Team Goals Fourfold. We’re backing each of the current top four to score twice, which can be backed at over 7/1 with BetVictor.
