17/1 Long Haul accumulator

Monday: Torino vs Cremonese – Torino to win

Cremonese sit rock-bottom of the Serie A table with a miserly eight points from 22 games and their misery could be compounded when they face Torino on Monday.

The visitors have taken just one point from their last eight league games and have failed to score in five of those, while Torino have won three of their last five at home, conceding just three goals in this period.

Il Toro won the return leg in August and have beaten Cremonese in each of their last four league meetings, so another win for the hosts is expected

Tuesday: Eintracht Frankfurt vs Napoli – Napoli to win

Napoli are running away with the Serie A title and they can continue their fine season with a first-leg win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.

The Naples outfit beat Sassuolo 2-0 on Friday to make it seven league wins on the trot, with the favourites scoring 19 goals in this run and conceding just twice.

Frankfurt could be tough opposition, but the hosts lie sixth in the Bundesliga and have only won three of their last six in all competitions. I expect the Italians to throw down a marker on Tuesday.

Wednesday: Inter Milan vs Porto – Inter Milan to win

Staying in Italy, Inter Milan should be able to make good use of their home advantage when they face Porto on Wednesday night.

The Nerazzurri head into this tie unbeaten in five and with four wins to their name over this period. They have won 11 of their last 12 home games in all competitions and beat Barcelona at the San Siro in the group stages.

Porto, of course, are cruising in their domestic league but they have lost both previous visits to Inter Milan.

Thursday: Union Berlin vs Ajax – Union Berlin to win

Bundesliga high-flyers Union Berlin secured a well-deserved draw in the first leg of this tie in Amsterdam, limiting Ajax to just eight shots and zero on target. They have the confidence and form to progress with a win at home.

Incredibly, Union Berlin are just a point behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and have returned from the winter break in phenomenal form, winning six successive games before that midweek draw.

They have lost just one competitive home game all season and the state of the visitors is perhaps best illustrated by the fact they are third in the Eredivisie.

Friday: Lille vs Brest: Lille to win

Lille’s form may not stand out from the crowd but at home they have proven a formidable opponent all season.

They suffered a couple of defeats at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in August but have since gone unbeaten in 11 games, winning eight of those, so they should have no trouble sailing past a struggling Brest.

The visitors sit 16th in the Ligue 1 table and have won just one of their last ten away games. Six of these have ended in defeat, and I anticipate a seventh loss on Friday.
