Aberdeen vs Partick Thistle Betting Tips

Aberdeen will be cursing their spell of poor form in September and October. They went on a poor run of four defeats and one draw in five Scottish Premiership matches to surrender their lead in the title race.

They managed to pick themselves up eventually though, and with Celtic faltering numerous times they have gained ground on the Scottish Champions and find themselves well in the title race.

Aberdeen’s 2-2 draw with Inverness CT on Boxing Day saw them miss out on the chance to go top, and Celtic followed this up with a draw against Hearts as they failed to extend their lead.

This draw made it five wins and two draws for Aberdeen in their last seven Scottish Premiership matches, and they are only a point behind Celtic now. Although the leaders do hold a game in hand.

It’s a long way down until you find 3^rd though, with a nine point gap between Aberdeen and 3^rd place Hearts already opened up. Partick Thistle sit some way below that in 6^th position with a huge 19 points between them and the home side.

However, the visitors are actually in very good form at the moment, and their poor standing in the table can largely be attributed to a dreadful start to the season.

They failed to win any of their first nine league games this season, but since breaking that duck they have won six of their last nine, picking up 20 points from a possible 27.

Partick Thistle come into this match on the back of a four match winning streak in the league, but I think they’ll find it hard to pick up another win on Wednesday.

They have only beaten Aberdeen once in their last nine meetings, and seven of those meetings has ended in defeat for the underdogs.

This makes the short looking odds of 8/15 for an Aberdeen Win on Wednesday actually look good value, and that’s what I’m backing alongside a 2-0 correct score prediction at 17/2.
