AC Milan vs Chievo Predictions
After a couple of disappointing losses, AC Milan have picked up their play over the last couple of weeks. They earned a 1-1 draw in Torino and at the weekend secured a crucial 2-1 win over Sassuolo, a club that had surprised a few of Serie A’s better teams already this season.
They’re currently 10th place in Serie A and a full blown “renaissance” at the San Siro now seems unlikely for both AC Milan and their rivals Inter. However, there are signs that the 2015-16 edition of Milan are working a few things out in terms of their attacking and defensive balance. Sunday’s victory was arguably the team’s best performance of the season.
On Wednesday, they’re back at the San Siro and they’re playing Chievo, who haven’t picked up a win since beating Torino 1-0 on September 23. During a four-game span, they have picked up a pair of draws, but they’ve lost their last two matches.
Chievo haven’t necessarily played bad football, they challenged Napoli this weekend, only losing 1-0. However, they haven’t been able to get over the hump and the elements of luck that went their way in the first five games of the season are perhaps balancing out.
Three Reasons for Betting Tips
1. Chievo are due
They’ve played decent football without getting much luck. We think they’ll have a clear game plan against AC Milan and will at least be successful stifling their opponents.
2. No trust in Milan’s attack
They have shown attacking potential in spurts, but in general we do not trust AC Milan’s attacking pedigree. They’re a developing side, but at times their approach could be accused of being too predictable and their build up play is just too slow.
3. Like the odds
We like Chievo’s double chance odds at 23/20. They’re still a decent side and Milan are not a reliable game breaking style team.
