Canada vs Bosnia And Herzegovina Predictions
- Canada are on an eight-game unbeaten run
- Bosnia are winless in five in normal time
- Canada have six clean sheets in their last eight games
Winning start for co-hosts Canada
Canada have a great chance to progress beyond the group stage at a World Cup for the first time and the co-hosts can make a perfect start by taking down Bosnia in their opener on Friday.
The Canucks come into the tournament in fine form as they are on an eight-game unbeaten run, having managed six clean sheets during that period.
Bosnia managed to edge out Wales and Italy in the qualifying play-offs but they needed penalties in both ties. They are winless in five inside normal time, and their only wins since 2023 have come against Liechtenstein, Romania, Cyprus, San Marino and Malta.
Canada have a talented and balanced squad, including Juventus forward Jonathan David, Ismael Kone, Alistair Johnston and Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, who may be able to make a return from injury for the opener.
Jesse Marsch’s side have lost only one of their last 17 matches in 90 minutes and Ukraine, Wales, Colombia, Ecuador, Ireland and the US have all failed to beat them during that run.
With home advantage, this Canada side should be able to overcome what looks a fairly limited Bosnia outfit and a 2-0 win for Marsch’s men has a chance.
Canada have become clean sheet specialists and have scored exactly two goals in three of their last six games.
