Accrington Stanley vs Rotherham Predictions

Rotherham leading the way

League One has been a doddle for Rotherham upon their return to the division after relegation from the Championship in the summer. Paul Warne’s side top the table by two points and have been defeated just three times in 22 outings.

Only one of those losses has come on the road, with The Millers boasting the third tier’s second best away record courtesy of six wins from ten matches.

Incredibly, they have only conceded three goals in those fixtures, keeping a staggering seven clean sheets, with only Wigan, Lincoln and Charlton managing to breach that near watertight defence.

Stanley up against it

Accrington on the other hand have already conceded 18 times at the Crown Ground this season, losing four of their ten matches on home soil.

Three of those defeats came against teams in the top seven and in fact they have only picked up one point in home matches against the teams above them in the table.

John Coleman’s side look up against it, especially when you consider their inconsistent nature, as while Stanley won last time out, they are without back to back victories since October.

This match seems to only be going one way. Rotherham are in exceptional form, whereas Accrington struggle against the teams above them. I predict the Millers will come out on top, selecting 2-0 as a correct score prediction.
