AFC Wimbledon vs Sunderland Predictions
- Wimbledon haven’t won in their last 12 matches
- Sunderland have lost their last three matches
- These two sides rank 23rd and 24th in League One’s form table over the last six matches
Two sides in woeful form
Over the last six League One games; no two teams have been in worse form than Sunderland and Wimbledon who rank 23rd and 24th respectively in the last six match form table, they have taken a combined seven points from their last 12 games. Wimbledon haven’t won since the 7th of December and their winless run currently stands at 12 matches. Sunderland have won just one of their last seven league games and their automatic play-off aspirations are stalling.
Sunderland should have enough to put away sorry Wimbledon
Despite being on a poor recent run, Sunderland undoubtedly have much more quality in their ranks than Wimbledon. In trying times, being able to turn to the likes of Jermaine Defoe is a huge plus for manager less Sunderland. A month ago, you wouldn’t have imagined being able to back Sunderland at odds against in a match against a Wimbledon side who haven’t won in 12 and I am defiantly happy to chance the visitors despite their recent issues. The Black Cats should have enough to put away the hosts.
My main selection in this game will be Sunderland to win in the outright market. Wimbledon have only scored three goals in their last six home matches and Sunderland can play with freedom knowing there won’t be much coming back the other way. I actually think it will be a comfortable away win and for my correct score prediction I will go for a 3-0 Sunderland win.
