Tough to separate the two given the circumstances

The hosts have put just one point on the board so far but there’s little cause for concern given they have played Lyon, Lens and Rennes – three tough sides who will be fighting for top half spots. However, they now welcome Lille to the Stade François Coty and they have a pretty poor record against ‘Les Dogues’, a side they have lost all of their previous seven meetings with.

Lille arrive here off the back of a humiliating 7-1 defeat on home soil against PSG and they’ll be desperate to bounce back to winning ways at the first time of asking. Their confidence will be on the floor but boss Paulo Fonseca said afterwards that they will be much better in this match and he will be expecting a response. However, Lille have struggled on the road and have managed just one win in their last five away Ligue 1 fixtures. This match could prove a tricky encounter.

Goals the order of the day

The visitors lost their two away matches against newly-promoted sides last season and it’s hard to separate these two. On paper, Lille should win comfortably but we see this one being a competitive encounter. We’re also expecting goals and so will side with over 2.5 goals and both teams to score.
