Djurgarden in ruthless mood against weaker opponents

Djurgarden justified favouritism in a routine 2-0 win over Allsvenskan basement boys Varbergs last time out and they can follow up with another three points on the road at Varnamo on Saturday.

Up against a side yet to win in the top flight this season, Djurgarden had little to worry about against Varbergs and had established a two-goal advantage by the hour mark.

That leaves them in fourth spot heading into this weekend’s action and they have not lost since a chaotic 4-3 defeat to Hammarby in May.

Varnamo could be outclassed by solid visitors

Djurgarden have won five and drawn two of their seven matches since that reverse and are pushing for a top-three berth and place in the European qualifiers.

Varnamo won their most recent Allsvenskan match, but that was against a Degerfors side who are hovering above the relegation zone and they could be out of their depth when Djurgarden come to town.
