      Albacete to Win

      Reason for tip

Castellon have lost three of their last four games and have shipped 13 goals in their last five outings, they may fall short once again when they take on an Albacete side who have won two on the spin.

      Albacete vs Castellon Predictions

      • Castellon have only taken 20 points from 16 away games
      • Albacete beat league leaders Racing Santander 4-0 last time out
      • Both teams have scored in Castellon’s last five games

      Hosts could edge close clash

The race for the Segunda Division play-offs is heating up and two contenders face off on Saturday as Albacete host Castellon.

The visitors are currently sixth in the table with 50 points while the hosts are in 11th with 42, meaning that if they are to launch a late run for a top-six spot they need to do so sooner rather than later.

Back-to-back wins over Las Palmas and league leaders Racing Santander haven’t hurt those aims and they will fancy their chances against a Castellon side who have gone five games without a win, losing three of those.

They have shipped a whopping 13 goals in five matches and that is a big concern for the run-in. Another worry for Pablo Hernandez’s side is their away form, they have won just five of their 16 road trips and could be in for more misery on their travels in this one.

Albacete have already beaten Real Madrid at home this season and are unbeaten in their last five league games in their own back yard, winning three of those. Side with Alberto Gonzalez’s men to keep their play-off hopes alive with a win.

Three of Albacete’s last eight games have finished 2-1 and they are fancied to edge this encounter by the same scoreline.
