Toulouse can claim a narrow win on the road

Toulouse are in good form and look set to continue their recent away success when they visit Angers on Sunday. Carles Martinez’s side have won their last two Ligue 1 road games and can secure another win at Stade Raymond Kopa.

They are four places above Angers in the table, with just a four-point gap separating the two sides. The hosts are 11th with seven wins, five draws and eight defeats, while Toulouse are seventh having won eight, drawn six and lost six.

The visitors are in fine fettle. Toulouse have been winners in four of their last six Ligue 1 games and have only lost one of their last six away matches.

They have been impressive defensively away from home this season, conceding just eight goals in nine games – an average of 0.89 goals per game. In contrast, Angers have conceded in three of their last four Ligue 1 home games.

A 2-0 win for Toulouse looks a decent correct-score option. Eight of the last ten Ligue 1 meetings between these sides have finished with under 2.5 goals and two of Toulouse’s eight victories this term have been by a 2-0 scoreline.
