Arsenal vs West Brom Betting Tips & Predictions

Arsenal did what could only be described as “An Arsenal” on Sunday as they dropped two points at home to Crystal Palace. The Gunners, as usual, enjoyed almost total domination in terms of possession, but they just couldn’t manage to turn this into goals despite Alexis Sanchez’ opener. This eventually led to Crystal Palace equalising, putting Arsenal’s top four spot in jeopardy.

They drop down to 4th on goal difference now, and both them and Manchester City have Manchester United breathing down their necks just four points behind them.

Arsenal’s form isn’t the greatest either. They have only won three of their last 12 games in all competitions and only two of their last seven Premier League outings. They aren’t even much better at the Emirates, where they have won two of their last six in the Premier League.

West Brom aren’t exactly setting the world alight either though. They have lost three and drawn one of their last four outings in the Premier League and looked abhorrent during their 1-0 loss to Watford on Saturday.

Despite their poor overall form Arsenal have been fairly successful going forward, their most recent match aside. They have scored 19 goals in their last nine outings in the league, which when coupled with their poor defence has seen six matches have three or more goals in total.

West Brom have generally been able to grab a goal per game away from home as well, so odds of 8/13 for Over 2.5 Goals look fair value to me. I’m going for an Arsenal win though, and a 2-1 correct score prediction at 17/2 is looking good to me.
