Aston Villa vs Leicester Betting Tips

It’s a miracle! Aston Villa finally managed to win a football match. They picked up a 1-0 victory against a poor Crystal Palace side on Tuesday to end their run of 19 Premier League matches without a win.

But I doubt the Villa fans will be getting too excited yet. They still sit rock bottom of the Premier League table with 11 points from their first 21 games. They are currently eight points from safety.

Their last five matches have seen them draw twice, lose twice, and win once, although one of these draws was against Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup 3^rd Round.

Leicester managed to break out of their own winless streak in midweek when they beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at White Hart Lane.

This was the second time in four days that Leicester have stopped Spurs from winning on their home ground, although the visitors were denied an FA Cup win there by a late Harry Kane goal at the weekend.

Leicester have now won one of their last five matches, drawing three times and losing once. However, that win on Wednesday will have regained some of the lost confidence and I think we can expect a return to form from the surprise Premier League title challengers.

They are now level on points with Arsenal at the top of the table and hold a three point advantage over 3^rd placed Manchester City.

Jamie Vardy is back to full fitness as well after a minor injury scare, so we can expect to see some goals from him in the near future. Aston Villa, meanwhile, are without Gabby Agbonlahor, Jordan Amavi, Jack Grealish, Carlos Sanchez, and Adama Traore.

I’m not expecting Aston Villa to be able to build on their midweek win, and odds of 6/5 for a Leicester win on Saturday look too good to turn down. I’m backing a comfortable 2-0 win at 9/1 for the visitors as well.
