    Both Teams To Score

    Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in Barnsley’s last 11 league matches and in Burton Albion’s last five League One contests. Both teams have a tendency to be a but chaotic but have individuals that can pop up with goals.

    Chaotic start for Hourihane

Two clubs that kicked off the campaign with wins meet at Oakwell on Saturday with Barnsley fancied to pick up another three points at home to Burton Albion.

The Tykes returned from Plymouth with a 3-1 victory amid controversial scenes that saw them reduced to 10 men eventually, although it could have been nine had the referee spotted a foul by the goalkeeper in the first half.

All in all, it was a fairly chaotic debut in the Barnsley dugout for Conor Hourihane as his side committed 18 fouls and faced a barrage of corners and free-kicks as they held on for the points.

    Brewers need a box presence

Barnsley benefitted from an early own goal and some poor Plymouth defending to grab their three goals, but some of the counter-attacking football they played was effective. They will need to be more proactive with the ball at home to Burton, who finished 20th in the table last season.

The Brewers got a 2-1 home win against Mansfield last week and will be out to spoil Barnsley’s fun in any way they can. Both of their goals were emphatic strikes from range by Charlie Webster and they will need to find more of a box presence to keep collecting points.

But there is scope for both teams to score in this clash with Barnsley not being watertight at the back either. BTTS has landed in the Tykes’ last 11 games now and each of the last five Burton matches, so it looks a decent play at around 4/5 with the home side preferred to nick this one 2-1.
