Birmingham City’s November slump could cost them dearly come the end of the season. They went on a run of five losses and just one win in seven matches from October into the start of December, and despite their form picking up since then they are still outside the playoff positions.

They have won three of their last four games and only lost just once in their last seven outings, leaving them in 8^th position in the Championship. They are only two points outside of the playoffs though.

Bournemouth were plying their trade in Birmingham City’s league last season, and are now focussing all of their efforts on staying out of the second tier. They sit in 16^th position in the Premier League with four points between them and the drop zone.

They did manage to get a trio of impressive wins back in December, with Chelsea, Man United, and West Brom all losing to them, and despite not winning since then they have got a couple of good results.

They have managed to secure points against both Crystal Palace and Leicester, with their only defeat being against the in form Arsenal in their last game of 2015.

Bournemouth did an emphatic double over Birmingham City last season, winning by a ridiculous 8-0 scoreline away from home and beating them 4-2 at home. They have scored 16 times against Birmingham in their last three matches against them.

Bournemouth have had a lot of success against Birmingham over the past couple of seasons and I think they’ll continue that on Saturday. Odds of 11/10 for a Bournemouth win look good value as well considering they have won against Man United and Crystal Palace away from home recently.
