      Birmingham vs Leeds Predictions

Birmingham ended their poor run of form with a 2-0 win at Reading on Saturday with Clayton Donaldson and Ryan Shotton scoring inside the first half hour. It may be too little too late as far as their play-off ambitions are concerned but another win here would leave them 6 points off the top 6 and with a glimmer of hope still going into the final 5 games. They will be determined to at least end the season well after a strong overall campaign and they are certainly the favourites to win this.

Leeds come here having picked up just 1 point from their last 4 matches. They were behind after just a minute at Burnley on Saturday and Scott Arfield’s strike proved to be the only goal of the game to give the leaders a 1-0 win. Leeds are in 15th place but with an 11 point cushion on the bottom 3 there is no danger of them going down and they have little really at stake here.

This game doesn’t really have the potential to be a classic. Only 5 of Birmingham’s last 16 home league games have had over 2.5 goals and there have been under 2.5 goals in 8 of their last 10 Championship matches. Leeds average less than a goal per game this season. Only one side outside the bottom 3 has a worse record so it’s hard to see there being many goals.

Birmingham have scored exactly once in all of their last 5 home matches. Their last two home wins were both by 1-0 scorelines and backing Birmingham to win 1-0 at 6/1 might be the way to go here with Leeds not the most dangerous of attacking sides and having suffered defeat by that margin on the road only 3 days ago.
