Blackburn vs Charlton Predictions
Blackburn have just 4 points from their opening 7 games and are struggling down in 23rd place. They aren’t being totally outclassed though by any extent and are yet to lose by more than a single goal. With a few tweaks, they should be able to climb away from trouble and there were signs that they were on the right track in midweek.
Gary Bowyer’s men twice led at Loftus Road against a strong QPR side in what was perhaps their best performance of the season so far. There will have been some disappointment in their failure to convert one point into 3 but it was a tough game and they can use that result to bounce into the weekend clash with Charlton.
It provides them, with a good chance to secure all 3 points for the first time this season. Charlton have taken just 1 point from their last 3 games after a bright start to the season. Their recent games haven’t been the toughest. They were beaten by an out-of-form Wolves side at Molineux prior to home games with previously winless Huddersfield and Rotherham.
To take only 1 point from those two outings at the Valley is fairly criminal and they won’t come to Ewood in the best of moods. Blackburn have only lost 1 of their last 6 Championship home games and having scored twice on Wednesday will feel their attacking problems may be coming to an end. Therefore they are worth backing to beat an out-of-form Charlton side at Evens.
It is likely to be scrappy though with neither side playing with much confidence. Rovers have been fairly solid at tihe back, especially at home and a narrow 1-0 win is perhaps their most likely margin of victory and you can back that to be the outcome at 11/2.
