      Bolton vs Leeds Predictions

These really are worrying times for Wanderers fans who see their side propping up the table after 12 games. There was some hope that Neil Lennon could get this side competing at the right end this season but already it is looking like they could be involved in a relegation scrap.

They have only won once all season and have taken just 1 point from their last 5 Championship games and the pressure is mounting on the former Celtic boss. If he had been in charge of Leeds, he would almost certainly have been sacked by now as was the fate of Uwe Rosler who was shown the Elland Road door by the trigger happy Massimo Cellino earlier this week.

His replacement Steve Evans got his reign off to a solid start with a draw at Fulham in midweek and he might fancy his chances of picking up a first win here. That point at Fulham ended a 3 match losing streak for Leeds which saw the end of Rosler and it looks like Evans has restored a little bit of belief into these players so we could see his Leeds honeymoon really get into full swing here.

For a club that has just sacked their manager, Leeds have a remarkably good away record of late. They’ve only lost 1 of their previous 7 on the road in the Championship, winning 3 of those matches with their only defeat coming at promotion favourites Middlesbrough.

Therefore a trip to the bottom club in the league won’t fear them one bit and at 6/5 they are good value to win this one in the ‘draw no bet’ market. Indeed given Bolton have only won once all season it is a little strange that they are fairly clear favourites for the match especially given Leeds’ form away from Elland Road.

Evans is known as quite an attacking manager and has had a bit more time to work with his players than he did ahead of the Fulham game. He may throw caution to the wind a little more here and it should be a reasonably open game. All three of those recent Leeds away wins were by 2-1 scorelines and you can back that to be the case again here at tempting odds of 10/1.
