      Bolton To Win To Nil

      Reason for tip

Reading have lost all three of their league games already this season and have only scored once, they could be set for another defeat without finding the net against a Bolton side who look much improved defensively.

      Bolton 2-0

      Reason for tip

Bolton beat Plymouth 2-0 in their last home game and are fancied to repeat the trick against the goalshy Royals.

      Bolton vs Reading Predictions

      • Reading have lost all three of their league games
      • Reading have lost two of their last three League One matches 2-0
      • All three of Bolton’s league games have gone under 2.5 goals

      Wanderers on the up

Both Bolton and Reading have had frustrating starts to the season after being amongst the favourites for promotion from League One this season.

Wanderers have taken four points from three league games but were dumped out of the cup on penalties by Sheffield Wednesday and almost lost 1-0 to ten-men Barnsley at the weekend before a late John McAtee equaliser.

The Royals have had it worse however, losing all three of their games to sit rock bottom of the third tier at present.

A cup win over Portsmouth produced some cheer but it has been a very low-key start to the campaign after the joy of Reading’s summer takeover.

Bolton were comfortable 2-0 winners over Plymouth in their last home game and they should be able to get the better of a Reading team who look out of sorts at present.

Goals have been a real issue for the visitors, who have only netted once in three league games, and a win to nil could be on the cards for Steven Schumacher’s men.

It took a moment of David McGoldrick magic to break down the Trotters’ back line in midweek and the Royals do not look like they have someone who can produce something similar at present.

Wanderers were 2-0 winners in their last home game and a similar scoreline could be on the cards.
