FC Thun vs Hearts Predictions

Hearts unlikely to be broken at Thun

It has been a tricky period for Hearts, who looked right back in the Scottish Premiership title race when leading Rangers 2-1 at Tynecastle last week. 

However, a last-gasp Olwethu Makhanya strike pulled the Gers level and worse was to come for the Jambos. 

Wouter Vrancken’s men took the lead in Sunday’s Scottish League Cup semi-final against Hibs, but their Edinburgh rivals turned the tie around to win 2-1 and dump Hearts out of the cup. 

There is no time to wallow for the Jambos, who now face their seventh game in 22 days when they head to Switzerland to face Thun in the Conference League on Thursday. 

It has been a remarkable rise for the Swiss side, who won their first ever top-flight title last season, but the current campaign has been far more difficult. 

Gian-Luca Privitelli’s men have not won any of their opening five Swiss Super League home games, they failed to qualify for the Champions League and Europa League and the Conference League has yielded defeats to Hajduk Split and FC Twente. 

Thun did win 5-4 at Lausanne at the weekend, but that chaotic result is not an indication of a turnaround in fortunes. 

Backing a Hearts success and over 3.5 goals looks a good value wager in this spot.
