Borussia Dortmund vs Bochum Predictions

Expect better defensively from Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund were hammered 5-1 at Stuttgart last time out but they should be able to respond with a win over lowly Bochum on Friday.

BVB have six points from two games at the Westfalenstadion in the Bundesliga and they are unbeaten in seven at home in a run stretching back to last season, winning six of those games.

Bochum started the season by losing in the DfB Pokal to second tier opposition and they have managed just one point from four games.

BVB are clear favourites and it is hard to see them dropping points here, and the best approach could be backing a Dortmund win to nil.

Boss Nuri Sahin will demand a better performance defensively after that collapse at VfB and Dortmund can win here without conceding. BVB have three clean sheets in their last five games across all competitions and Bochum have scored just one goal in three away games.

Bochum haven’t conceded more than twice in any game this season and can at least keep this respectable, so a 2-0 win for Dortmund looks a reasonable correct score prediction.

Serhou Guirassy had to wait for his debut after missing the start of the season due to injury but the striker has hit the ground running after a delayed start. Guirassy scored 28 goals in as many Bundesliga games for Stuttgart last season and has two goals in three appearances for Dortmund, and he appeals for an anytime effort here.
