Rotation unlikely to stop dominant Dortmund

With a Champions League final on the horizon and nothing to play for domestically, it seems likely Edin Terzic will field a heavily-rotated side in Dortmund’s final league game of the campaign. 

However, despite the changes being rung, BVB should have more than enough to land a victory, given they are facing basement boys Darmstadt – one of the worst sides in the Bundesliga’s history. 

The visitors are sat on just 17 points – the second-lowest of any side heading into the final day of a Bundesliga season this century – and have been utterly dreadful all term, with no signs of improvement in the backend of the campaign either.

Darmstadt have won only one of their last 26 games and given 14 of their 22 league losses have come to nil, it looks set to be a fitting end to a miserable season for the Lillies. 

Dortmund have won six of their last nine home matches, beating European giants Paris St-Germain and Atletico Madrid in that run, and should extend their run of three wins from four against these opponents to four from five with little issue. 

All three of those wins came to nil while seven of Darmstadt’s last eight losses have also come without scoring, suggesting even a rotated Borussia side should have more than enough to shut out the visitors while landing a final-day victory at Signal Iduna Park.
