Borussia Dortmund vs Odd Predictions
Well, who expected that sort of match last week? Borussia Dortmund made the trip to Norway to play the relatively unknown Odd, with the majority expecting a standard Dortmund win.
But all those expectations went to pot when Odd went 3-0 up within the first 25 minutes in astonishing fashion.
It wasn’t long before Borussia Dortmund pulled themselves together and began an extraordinary comeback.
Aubemayang pulled one back before half time, with Kagawa adding one shortly after the break. Aubemayang levelled things up 14 minutes from time before Kagawa turned provider, giving Mkhitaryan the chance to put them ahead.
Despite the 3-0 scoreline at the 25 minute mark, there is little doubt that Dortmund deserved a win when you look at the stats. They absolutely dominated possession and had a huge 16 attempts on goal. Odd had 2 shots on goal, somehow.
It was a close call, but Dortmund managed to get their victory, and their 4-0 thrashing of Ingolstadt at the weekend took their winning streak to 9 matches on the trot. Even more impressive is their 19 goal haul in their last 5 competitive games.
This makes it 2 wins out of 2 in the Bundesliga as well, with their marginally superior goal difference putting them top of the table ahead of Bayern Munich.
Odd will be understandably disheartened after failing to keep the Bundesliga giants at bay, but they still managed to bounce back with a 1-0 win at home to Viking on Sunday. This makes it 2 wins, 2 losses, and a draw in their last 5 games.
Given Borussia Dortmund’s incredible scoring form at the moment, I simply can’t see this being a low scoring affair. Odds of 8/11 for a Borussia Dortmund Win and Over 3.5 goals may seem short, but we think they offer some value to the savvy punter.
