      Bournemouth vs Everton Predictions

Bournemouth come into this match having lost their last two home matches, although defeats to Arsenal and Stoke can certainly be forgiven. Before that they had won back to back games and not lost in four. They aren’t out of trouble in the Premier League though, and with them sitting in 15th place there is definitely the potential for them to be dragged into a relegation battle. Premier League survival will be their main aim this season, and whilst they will be taking the FA Cup seriously they know where their priorities lie.

The FA Cup will be on the high priority list for Everton though. Their disappointing Premier League results have left them in a mediocre but safe 11th position in the table with little hope of getting European qualification through the Premier League. Roberto Martinez will be hoping for FA Cup success to take some of the pressure of his shoulders following their multiple defensive collapses this season.

      Reasons for Betting Tips

Everton somehow failed to score last weekend when they hosted West Brom, ending their run of three consecutive 3-0 victories. It wasn’t for lack of trying though; they struck the woodwork numerous times and could easily have had five of six goals. I don’t see this happening again when they come up against a Bournemouth side who haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last five matches.

But Bournemouth themselves have only failed to score in one of their last eight outings in all competitions, with Everton also matching that record. This makes a high scoring match a real likelihood on Saturday, especially considering the two teams have conceded a combined 79 goals in the Premier League so far this season.

Everton will be desperate for FA Cup success considering their disappointing season, whilst Bournemouth could be preoccupied with Premier League survival. So I think the visitors will get the win on Saturday, and a 2-1 correct score prediction looks good value for money.

      Head to Head

These two sides have only met once before, with Everton visiting Bournemouth earlier in the season for their first Premier League encounter, a game which finished 3-3. Everton were two goals to the good, but two goals in the last ten minutes got them back in the game before Ross Barkley scored what he thought was the winner in the 5th minute of injury time, but it wasn’t to be as Junior Stanislas scored a dramatic 98th minute winner.

      Statistics

Bournemouth’s games this season have averaged a total of 2.85 goals per game, with Everton’s record coming in at a slightly higher 3.12 goals per game. Both of these are significantly above the average for the Premier League.

      Team News

Bournemouth: The out of luck Cherries remain without three key players, with Max Gradel, Tyrone Mings, and Callum Wilson all suffering ACL knee injuries earlier in the season. Fortunately there are no new injury concerns though.

Everton: John Stones and Oumar Niasse are both doubtful for this trip down south, with Muhamed Besic, Tony Hibbert, and Tyias Browning all remaining sidelined.
