Champions to frustrate Brest once again

Reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain will look to end their wait for a league win when they travel to Stade Francis-Le Ble to take on Brest.

PSG have only picked up two points in three matches and they are 13th in the table and seven points behind league-leaders Monaco.

Les Parisiens were held to consecutive 2-2 draws by Rennes and Lille to start the season, before they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Monaco at home last week.

Luis Enrique will not be panicking, though, and his side responded in style in the Champions League after they beat Slovan Bratislava 6-1 on Wednesday.

PSG’s recent record against Brest will give them plenty of confidence and the visitors have won seven consecutive games against their hosts and are unbeaten against them since January 1985.

Brest registered their first win of the season against Le Havre on Saturday, which came on the back of consecutive 2-2 draws against Le Mans and Toulouse.

Julien Lachuer’s side will have every chance of scoring their seventh goal of the season, especially against a PSG side that does not look settled at the back.

However, PSG’s midweek heroics suggest they have found their rhythm again and their five league goals in three games suggest they are not too far away from registering their first victory of the campaign.
