      Brighton vs Wolves Predictions

The Seagulls are now winless in 5 matches and lost for the 2nd successive home game when they were beaten 1-0 at by Ipswich on Tuesday. The result leaves them 4 points behind 2nd place Derby and 5 points off leaders Middlesbrough who have a game in hand. It was almost inevitable that they were going to have a dip in form at some point having stayed unbeaten all the way into December and they would dearly love a win to get back on track here.

That won’t be easy though against a Wolves side that have won their last two matches. A 1-0 home win against Reading and a 2-0 victory at Charlton over the Festive period have done a lot to raise spirits at the Black Country club and they will know that this isn’t a bad time to be heading to Brighton.

A month ago, Brighton would have almost certainly got something out of their game against Ipswich but perhaps some of their belief has gone after that crushing 3-0 home defeat against Middlesbrough.

These two sides appear to be heading in opposing directions with Wolves up into the top half now and Brighton in danger of falling back into a scrap for the final play-off places. Therefore the visitors have every chance of getting something here and you can back them to do that at 3/4.

They aren’t as strong as Middlesbrough or Ipswich, the two sides that have beaten Brighton in recent weeks at the AmEx Stadium but they are capable of getting a point and you can back this to finish 1-1 at 11/2.
