Burgos’ home form had been keeping them in the top half of the Spanish Segunda, but they have now won only one of their last five games, failing to score in the other four fixtures.

Julián Calero’s side have generally been in good touch at Estadio El Plantío, where they have registered eight victories, but only two of them were against sides in the top six.

And they head into this game without a win in two on home soil thanks to a 1-0 defeat to Real Oviedo and a 0-0 stalemate with relegation threatened Real Sociedad B.

Tenerife need to re-find top form

One win in four has seen Tenerife lose ground in the race for an automatic promotion spot, but they are still in the hunt for the top two and head into this game with the best away record of the division.

Luis Miguel Ramis’ side have racked up eight wins on the road, including in three of their last four, against Ponferradina, Sporting Gijon and Alcorcon.

They have lost three of their last four at all venues, but the last two were against promotion rivals and they have suffered just five reversals to sides in the bottom half of the table.
