Bluebirds to cruise to victory

Cardiff have been in fine form going forward at home this season, and they should be backed to get the win when Reading visit the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts have scored 14 goals on their own turf in League One – an average of 2.33 goals per game from six matches.

They are third in the league having won seven of their 11 games this season, while Reading are 21st, with two wins, five draws and four defeats.

Reading are without a win in three League One games and have not tasted victory in any of their six away games this season.

Cardiff have found some form in front of goal, scoring an average of 2.14 goals a game in their seven League One games against bottom-half teams this season. They have been particularly potent at home, netting an average of 2.60 goals a game in their five matches.

Reading’s struggles at the back continue. The visitors have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six League One away games and have conceded on all six of their travels this season. They have gone 20 games without a shutout.

A 2-0 win for Cardiff looks like a decent correct-score option. Reading’s last three games in League One have all finished with under 2.5 goals and two of their four defeats this season have been by a two-goal margin.
