Chelsea vs Crystal Palace Predictions

  • Chelsea have won their last 14 meetings with Crystal Palace
  • Crystal Palace have conceded exactly twice in their two league games this season.
  • Noni Madueke has four goals in his last three appearances.

Madueke to strike again

Chelsea scraped through to the Europa League group phase despite their defeat in Switzerland in midweek but they should be able to get back to winning ways at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Blues put in a stunning second-half performance to thrash Wolves 6-2 last weekend and the star of that particular show, Noni Madueke, could play a leading role again this weekend.

The 22-year-old scored a stunning hat-trick at Molineux to add to his goal against Servette and he found the net from the bench in the corresponding fixture against Crystal Palace last season, so he looks a solid anytime goalscorer punt.

Eagles’ confidence waning

The Eagles were full of confidence pre-season after an excellent showing under Oliver Glasner at the end of last term, but a worrying couple of results has seen that confidence waver slightly.

They opened the season with defeat in Brentford and followed it with a loss to West Ham in their first home game of the campaign. A victory over Norwich in the EFL Cup in midweek provided a welcome boost to morale, but they are likely to come unstuck when they visit Stamford Bridge.

Blues set for another victory

Palace have lost their last 14 meetings with Chelsea and look good value to do so again, while a 2-1 correct score prediction also appeals.

Glasner’s men have conceded twice in both their league games so far and lost their first away day 2-1, while Chelsea won this fixture 2-1 last season and have only kept one clean sheet in four competitive attempts this term.
