Cardiff vs Leeds Betting Tips and Predictions

Cardiff’s promotion hopes have been boosted in recent weeks by their own good form and the failings of Sheffield Wednesday. The Bluebirds have won 3 of their last 4 matches and find themselves in 7th place, only outside the play-off places on goal difference. They were impressive 2-0 winners at local rivals and in-form Bristol City on Saturday with O’Keefe and Immers netting the crucial goals. If they can see off Leeds here they will most likely move into the top six with the Owls facing a tough trip to Brighton on the same night.

Leeds would love to burst Cardiff’s bubble and they too were winners at the weekend when they beat struggling Bolton 2-1 at Elland Road but we perhaps shouldn’t read too much into that given how poor Bolton have been especially away from home. It was Leeds’ first win in 6 matches and they were hammered 4-0 at Brighton in their last away game. The Yorkshire club are in 16th place with a 9 point cushion on the bottom 3 and don’t look like they have an awful lot left to play for this season.

That’s not the case with Cardiff who are strong at home and always like to get one over Leeds. The Bluebirds have only lost 1 of their last 19 home league games and are unbeaten in 13 coming into this at the Cardiff City Stadium. They’ve beaten two top half sides in the form of Preston and Brighton in their most recent home outings and backing Cardiff to win at 10/11 looks a good shout given Leeds haven’t been playing particularly well.
