Rangers To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Rangers have suffered just one loss in the 22 games since Philippe Clement’s appointment and they are unlikely to face any issues against a woefully out of form Aberdeen on Tuesday. The Gers have won their last three matches to nil whilst the Dons have managed only two wins in their last nine away games – both against lesser opposition – so a routine home victory should be expected.

Rangers 3-0

Reason for tip

Rangers have won their last three home matches to nil, with two of those victories coming by a 3-0 scoreline. One of those wins came against Hibernian, a side with a very similar record to Aberdeen, suggesting they could record a similar level of victory against the Dons on Tuesday.

Rangers vs Aberdeen Predictions

  • Rangers have lost just one of their 22 matches since the appointment of Philippe Clement, winning 18 in that run
  • The Gers have won their last three matches to nil
  • Aberdeen’s only away wins in their last nine road matches came against the SPL’s second-bottom side Ross County and Scottish League Two outfit Clyde in the cup

Clement’s crew can cruise to victory

Rangers have been excellent since the appointment of Philippe Clement as manager, winning 18 of their 22 games under the Belgian’s stewardship and losing just once – to SPL leaders Celtic – in that run.

They are unbeaten in their last 11 home matches and seem to be getting better week-by-week under Clement, with their defensive record seeing vast levels of improvement of late, with the Gers winning their last three games without conceding.

They have conceded just 11 league goals all season and four of their last six home matches have also been wins to nil, suggesting they will be far too strong for Aberdeen on Tuesday.

Aberdeen’s away woes to continue

The Dons are six places and 30 points worse off than Rangers and, as a result of their poor form, sacked manager Barry Robson last week.

Neil Warnock and his wealth of experience have been touted for the vacant managerial role at Pittodrie over the weekend but, even if he is appointed in time to be in the dugout at Ibrox, he is unlikely to have time to fix the plethora of issues plaguing Aberdeen at current.

Fixing the Don’s away form will be at the forefront of any new manager’s plans given that their only away wins in their last nine road matches have come against the SPL’s second-bottom side Ross County and Scottish League Two outfit Clyde in the cup.

Ibrox is an extremely tough place to go, as Aberdeen found out when losing 1-0 there in December, and any new manager bounce will not be enough to stop them losing without scoring in Glasgow once again.
