Olympiacos will be up against it when they head to Spain to face Hansi Flick’s Barcelona on Tuesday night. The Greek outfit have yet to score in the Champions League this season, while Barcelona have netted at least three goals in two of their last four victories. The Spanish giants have won four of their last five home matches this season and should showcase their class from the outset.

Mikel Arteta’s team will be full of confidence ahead of this tie after winning their last five matches in all competitions. The Gunners kept a clean sheet in four of those victories, and they should be able to outmuscle an Atletico side that has been inconsistent with only five wins in their last 10 outings.

Newcastle have only lost to Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal and Brighton this season and they proved too much for Union Saint-Gilloise in their last Champions League tie as they recorded a 4-0 away win. Under Jose Mourinho, Benfica have only won two of their last five matches and they have lost both of their games in the competition so far.

Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Everton ensured that Pep Guardiola’s side are now unbeaten in eight matches in all competitions this season. While Villarreal are unbeaten at home in all competitions, they are winless in three and they are without a victory in their last eight European fixtures against English teams.

Pafos have picked up 18 points from seven games in the Cypriot First Division and they will not be fazed by the trip to Almaty, unlike some of their other European rivals. Kairat are without a win in their previous eight UEFA competition group stage/league phase matches and they have conceded nine goals in two games so far.

Bristol City are winless in their last three games at home and they look vulnerable ahead of the visit of Southampton. Will Still’s team have improved their performances and are unbeaten in four games and they should pick up all three points if they can maintain their recent creativity.

FC Copenhagen are in poor form ahead of kick-off as the Danish outfit are winless in three games in all competitions. They were beaten 2-0 by Qarabag in their last League Phase tie and they also conceded two goals at home against Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday One. Dortmund have scored eight goals so far in the Champions League and should secure all three points.

PSV are unbeaten in five games in all competitions, but Napoli head to the Netherlands on the back of seven wins in 10 matches. The hosts fell to a 3-1 defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise in their opening European tie, before they then failed to bounce back in a 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen and all signs point to them struggling defensively in this tie.

After beating PSV Eindhoven 3-1 in their opening League Phase match, Union Saint-Gilloise were brought back down to earth when losing 4-0 to Newcastle earlier this month. Inter come into the match on the back of six successive wins and should prove too good for their Belgian opponents.

Eight of Hull City’s 10 games in the Championship have contained over 2.5 goals, but they are set to fall short against Leicester on Tuesday. The Foxes are only two points better off, but Leicester have only lost once away from home and their superior quality should get them over the line in a thrilling battle.

Half of Southampton’s 10 games this season have contained over 2.5 goals and they should be able to climb the table with a much-needed win. Bristol City have scored in four consecutive home games and they face a Saints side that have only clean sheet to their name in their last six in all competitions. Will Still’s team have been improving, though, and they can edge this tie.

Manchester City were exposed in their last away game in Europe as they drew 2-2 with Monaco and they should concede against a Villarreal side that have not lost at home all season in all competitions. They are starting to stumble, though, failing to win any of their last three and City should extend their unbeaten record to nine matches in all competitions.

Games involving Hull City this season have been value for money and the Tigers have seen eight of their 10 games contain over 2.5 goals. Five of Hull’s last seven have contained over four goals and promotion-chasing Leicester in town, this should be another thrilling battle.

Portsmouth have recently avoided defeat against promotion-chasing Middlesbrough and Leicester City and they will expect to give league-leaders Coventry City a game on Tuesday. Pompey have only lost one of their last four at home in the second tier, but Coventry have the best away record in the Championship, scoring 16 goals in five games.

Ipswich have won 11 points from a possible 15 at home this season and they have scored 13 goals in the process at Portman Road. Opponents Charlton have scored in four of their last five away from home, but they will find themselves outclassed when they head to Suffolk this week.

Bristol City will expect to trouble Southampton, especially when they have scored in four consecutive matches at home this season. The Saints have only kept one clean sheet in their last six overall, but Will Still’s team have turned a corner and are unbeaten in four matches in the second tier.

England international Marcus Rashford has found a new lease of life at Barcelona and has scored two goals from eight attempts in two matches. No Barca player has registered more shots in the competition and Olympiacos should prove no match as they face a Barcelona side that have scored multiple goals in six of their last eight matches.

Summer signing Nick Woltemade has already started to repay the huge fee Newcastle paid Stuttgart for his services and he has scored five goals in his last six appearances for club and country. Benfica recently conceded three goals to Qarabag in the Champions League, and Woltemade is full of confidence at the moment.

A brace against Everton saw Erling Haaland take his tally to 11 for the season in the Premier League for Manchester City. He has scored 36 goals in 32 Champions League group stage/league phase matches and he will relish the chance to get his team back on track in Europe.

Dortmund have scored four goals in each of their Champions League games so far but they’ve also conceded in both games. BVB and Copenhagen should be able to combine for at least three goals.

Over 2.5 goals has landed in seven of Monaco’s last eight games – and they are still yet to keep a clean sheet this season. Spurs have shipped five goals across their last three road games and have scored six themselves during that period.

Feyenoord have scored 18 goals in their opening eight league games, while the visitors may be able to get on the scoresheet as well and over 2.5 goals has landed in each of their last three away games.

North End have scored twice in three of their last four home games, while Sheffield United could be back in business after beating Watford last weekend with Chris Wilder back in the hot seat for a third stint in charge. Both of these teams look to be on the up and that could combine for at least three goals.

Newcastle’s home games have been fairly entertaining this term with over 2.5 goals landing in four of their six at St James’ Park across all comps, while there have been over three goals scored in three of Fulham’s last four league games.

Bayer Leverkusen’s league games average close to 3.9 goals per-game. Freiburg have also been involved in a few high-scoring clashes and over 3.5 goals has been a winning bet in each of the last three meetings between these two sides.

Arsenal will look to extend their winning to six matches in all competitions when they welcome Atletico Madrid to the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have kept four clean sheets during that run and they should be able to record another shutout on Tuesday. Diego Simeone’s troops have only won five of their 10 games, while they are winless on their travels in all competitions.

La Equidad prop up the rest of the division after only two wins from 15 matches and they last won a game in August and they are now winless in eight matches.Tolima are seventh after picking up 23 points in 15 games and they should come out on top, having won two of their last four away matches.

San Lorenzo are one place and one point above their hosts in the Toreno Betano Clausura – but their away form suggests they will struggle. Atl. Tucuman have won three in a row at home without conceding, while San Lorenzo are winless in five on the road.

Santos have endured a year to forget so far, but they will expect to pick up a vital three points on Tuesday. The hosts are unbeaten in four games at home, collecting eight points in the process, while Vitoria have lost five in a row on the road and are winless since May in all competitions away from home.

Nine points and five places separate the two teams and Santa Fe should fall short in this tie. Ind. Medellin have won four of their last five games in all competitions, while Santa Fe are winless in three. They have only one win to their name in nine away games and their lack of attacking threat on the road should be decisive here.
